That is grand news! This reminds me of the team battle quests in WoW TCG. I remember Onyxia is originally a boss quest. I am thinking since they streamlined Hearthstone from WoW TCG, the singleplayer quest mode will somehow resemble that as well.
I wonder how much gold it will cost to unlock the other parts of the adventure? Do I stop playing in the arena now and start saving up?
Someone played a Ragnaros on me last night. It killed my only creature, a 1/1 Murlock. Then I used Mind Control, yanked him over, hit end turn and his attack hit the opponent for the victory. Mind Control is a great card.
The nerubian egg is on the top of my list with regards to the new cards.. Death rattle concept mechanics are going to kick @$$.. Power over-whelming+ nerubian egg and void terror, what a deadly combo.. Cairne and sylvanas are going to be very strong due to the new legend.. Shadow flame will be quite a killer card also.. What a great time to be a warlock player.. And it's been announce iPad global launch in 1-2 weeks.. I'm really wishing for 1.. @Tabs My prediction was right, the new cards will be attained in adventure mode.. Better save up some gold hehe..
+1. Im sure more stuff will show up when it gets released. Im quite excited in having purpose on single player gaming.
Fought against a Mage that laid down three Fireballs...is this a thing, can people play a card more then twice? And no, they didn't play anything that would put the card back in their hand/deck.
He might either have Antonidas who creates and puts fireball cards everytime you play a spell, or you may have confused fireball with pyroblast.
I'm sorry to say this but you can't get the new cards via dust. Here's a quote from blizzard. So is adventure mode the only way to get these new cards or can people craft them as well? The only way! - Ben Brode (Source)
Umm... I just got steamrolled by Hunter rush deck... TWICE. IN. A. ROW. That's just annoying as f. Putting in Wild Pyros to see if that improves the matchup. This is on my midrange Warrior btw.
If you play in Arena, you can have any number of the same card. If unranked/ranked, only way is to have the Mage legendary Antonidas. EDIT: oops, was supposed to quote the guy that asked the question Aww. Haven't read the notes yet. I guess time to craft some Legendaries. That is like free cards for me anyway. So what do you think of the Deathknight being new hero next? and how soon? Hehe. Whirlwind, Cruel Taskmaster, Armorsmith and Acolyte of Pain can help clear the pesky 1 life minions. Slam and Cleave should be good too, but without draw, you will run out eventually.
I have those in except armorsmiths as they're too slow for midrange. (tested them before) I actually took out 2 cleaves for 2 whirlwinds. Whirlwinds turned out to be superior coz of the enrage mechanics (4 zerkers, and the acolytes). I'll need to feel out the threat-control balance a lot more for now to see if i can add a cleave or two back in. The strict 2 for 1 mechanic of cleave is a double edged sword since it cant be cast without a second target. It could be a dead card later on against other midrange or control oriented decks, but im pretty sure it'll be consistently strong against weenie aggro. Cant wait to get my hands on a few more legends so i can convert this to full control.
Playing VS hunters is really tricky. You really need to think it through. Sadly, at Rank 5, there are more hunters and warlocks. Grr...
LOL... that doesnt sound so fun. Anyways i just opened a pack today, and i got something i only noticed today, that makes me think about making a Rogue deck: Shadowstep. The combo potential in Shadowstep looks so friggin good. Earthen Ring Farseer, Ironbeak Owl, BGH, Defender of Argus, Black Knight, etc. I think best of all, is having 2 Shadowstep in your hand means an 18-point Leeroy on turn 8, or turn 7 with a mana crystal. That is definitely a game-ender. Im pretty sure there are decks playing around this already, just that i havent really checked out what the rogue has to offer other than her basic cards which i played in practice to unlock cards on her first 10 levels. I feel like making an aggro-combo rogue deck right now. LOL.
If you have heard of Miracle Rogue, it is based on Shadowsteps. I main Miracle and Tempo Rogue. My miracle uses 2, tempo uses 1 for BGH, SI Agent, refresh Argus etc. Endless possibility. Miracle works by using Gadgetzan Auctioneer, combo with 15+ spells in the deck such as backstab, preparation, then conceal. I once did 30 damage in 1 turn. Leeroy Leeroy SS Leeroy SS Coldblood on Auctioneer Coldblood on Auctioneer
This game is so much fun! Approaching 100 wins, about 2/3 practice matches. I read the 100 wins achievement counts practice matches, and is good for +300 gold. Plus, you can get the all basic cards achievement at about the same time, for another +100. Since practice matches are so easy to win once you get the hang of it and modify your decks a little, this is a good way to get going quick. Had a stumbling block at Rank 20 for a bit, but now at Rank 17 without IAP, mostly with Mage. I was liking Shaman too, but basic Shaman cards don't include any AOE which makes Hunters v. hard. Well crafted mage is very flexible even with only basic cards. I'm guessing that basic hunter is probably the easiest to advance rank with, but mage is good too.
Cheapest would probably be Hunter. But some skilled player already managed to bring a Mage, Shaman and Warrior to legendary without buying anything (from a new account if I am not mistaken). One of those did it in 5 days, one in 55 hours. Of course they have been playing since closed beta so they know the game already. Mage is okay to rank up. But you will need key cards such as: Mana Wyrm Blizzard (I find Flamestrike with 1 more mana, is almost, always too late) Argent Commander Defender of Argus Azure Drake Harvest Golem For free cards, play around with: Water Elemetanl Senjin Shieldmasta Boulderfist Ogre Childwind Yeti Shattered Sun Cleric Kobold Geomancer Good luck and have fun! EDIT: Link to the decklist of the guy (Trump) who created a new account (I believe he did) and from all the free gold, quests, made a mage deck and got legendary status. Yup go for a Alextrasza or a yserna.. If you're setting up for the potential of a deathrattle deck, sylvanas is a good investment.. I just wonder what the deathknight's ability would be? Maybe something to do with the discard pile? Well that's what I hope for, hehe..
