Im still going for a Warrior control deck. Not sure which Legend to go with for now. Might just go Hellscream and do a more aggro-control version for now til i get those heavy hitters.
I know, that's why it's not ALL the cards' faults. Coz even if the cards matter a lot, the player is the one making decisions.
Well since you want warrior to be your main class Hellscream's a good choice. Both control and aggro warrior uses it.. Alextrasza is a main component on both warlock control and warrior control so that could be next on your priority list..
Agreed. Alextrasza's too strong when you've been playing passively as a control deck would, and suddenly deal somewhere around 15 damage (depends if the enemy used some of his HP or if your early minions somehow got free damage) to drop him down to 15. Thanks for the tips Alister!
Yup Alex is a game changer. He/she can even be used to heal your HP specially when you're facing leathal damage. No problem .. Good luck climbing the ranked ladder.
That's great...I don't have any gold legendaries. I have: Hogger Ragnaros the Firelord Sylvanas Windrunner King Krush Tinkmaster Overspark
Warrior control is using Harrison Jones lately due to rise of shaman 2/3 and 2/8 weapon, hunter 3/2 weapon and warrior 3/2 and 7/1 weapon with some rogue with 1/2 and 3/4 weapon in the upper ranks. Although the 1600 is very tempting, just use acidic swamp ooze EDIT: Since you are just starting out, try to craft neutral legendaries first so more hero/decks can use it. Since I play mostly aggro and tempo decks, the first legendary I crafted is leeroy. DE tinkmaster because it is useless now. Take note its a random minion with a random chance of 1/1 or 5/5. It was recently nerfed. Back then, it is transform a minion into 1/1 or 5/5 which became a staple to almost all decks. Syl and Rag are good for Control. Hogger dies instantly due to 4/4 body but can be very annoying.
Ugh... Last 5 games lost. Everyone's just packing rush decks now. Need to tweak my deck to be able to take the game to the late game against rush. Also bad draws. Mulliganning 4 cost and up to get the ones with higher costs. Ugh. I'll keep on playing the deck for now. I dont think I should increase my minion control between 2 Whirlwinds, 2 Cleaves, 2 Slams, 2 Wild Pyros, 2 fiery axes, 1 Shield Slam (need 1 more) and 2 Cruel Taskmasters.
Ah, you are running warrior? You will need 2 armorsmith and 2 acolyte of pain. As well as frothing berserkers. Execute against bigger minnions. You can also get a raging worgen combo with inner rage and charge for a 16 damage burst.
I have only been playing a little on pc the odd bit every few weeks as I don't get chance to go on a pc lately. Waiting for the iPhone version though and can't decide what hero to make my main. So far I've unlocked all heroes but only levelled the Mage to 10, I'd prefer a control deck as rushing has never been my thing.
The best control deck is a warrior, but very very expensive to make. Druid control is also very good and is not that expensive, not that powerful too though. Warlock control is another strong but expensive deck. Shaman control is probably the cheapest to make, but very weak against hunter.
I couldn't help it..got a few more...picked up Alexstrasza, Ysera, Black Knight, Millhouse. Overspark before the nerf was much better. It's so crappy now I recently lost a game coz I gave my opponent a 5/5 minion.
Thanks for the tips and discussion Tabs. Im tweaking the deck to be midrange for now. Until i get those legendaries, there's only a slim chance i could get a pure warrior control go competitive. Midrange has worked nicely my last 4 games now. I do use all those you mentioned on my mid range, and i did use armorsniths and acolytes of pain when i was trying to make a full control deck. Since im doing midrange right now, i do wish my Grommash Hellscream was a leeroy instead. Grommash works when i get late game, but in 3 out of 4 wins, an earlier leeroy drop would have closed games out already while grommash was still waiting a few turns to make his entrance.
If I was you, I would control myself right now because whats fun is playing the game and open packs with your hard wins, get new cards and hope to eventually get legendarys cards. This game is very casual best way is to not rush it and the fun last longer My challenge is getting all the gold cards LOL
Yeah I'm totally addicted to this now (played around 100 games in the last 4 days) but I'm not going to spend much on cards because I think it would take a lot of the fun out of it. I've dropped £14 so far and I imagine I'll end up spending a little bit more, but not for a while because unlocking new things is half the fun.
