Was able to farm 700 gold, got the first wing of BRM, put a bunch of cards together with Grim Patron and Thaurissan, and damn im really having fun with the deck. Too bad i was in Hearthstone hiatus back when Grim Patron was dominating. I think the nerf to Warchief Commander was necessary to slow down Patron decks, but im pretty sad the Warchief just became unplayable in a competitive level.
I'm so glad that Patron deck is dead. And if you're having fun with BRM, wait until you get to LOE if you haven't done so yet
I got the full LOE and the 50-pack for christmas, reason i got back to hearthstone. I think the main reason i would want the entire BRM are the dragons, but with warrior being my main class, i think the only real cards that are playable from BRM are in the first wing, and maybe Revenge. So i ended up skipping BRM, decided to unlock the entire adventure by grinding instead.
Not yet - I'm waiting for her to finish all the 'beginner stuff' and opened all associated packs and decide what character she prefers at that point before dusting it. IMHO, Patron didn't bother me too much. Then again I was playing Rogue at the time and I'd pretty much just Blade Fury them away... RE: The adventures, I grinded gold for BRM wing 1 and NAXX wings 1&2. Really need to do LOE at some point...
Glad it didnt bother you much. Cant really do much against charging patrons, which is why the flood of patron decks basically died with the loss of the chieftain. Right now Patron decks are still pretty viable, but it definitely isnt its charging ancestor. More like a tempo deck now, playing 4 patrons at minimal cost is still a pretty strong move, especially when done at turn 5.
Yeah totally. I don't mind seeing them anymore as they don't have charge so you at least have one turn to respond/minimize the damage. It was the charge that was so brutal/annoying.. On another note, my addiction to this game has grown to ridiculous proportions. There is no game that I can recall that has grabbed me and lured me like this. I had taken a break for a while as well but since I've come back, it is my whole hearted addiction. And best of all, no broken GC to stop me from playing!! *Sticks middle finger up to Apple and GC*
Anyone know or can recommend a stat tracker app? I don't play on PC but would love a way to track my win percentage with decks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Do you mean on iPhone (and automatically)? I assume that's impossible but it's the one reason I regret only playing on my phone. If you didn't mean automatically like the PC apps, perhaps InnKeeper...? I downloaded it but haven't tried it yet. The PC version apparently does some really cool stuff.
I use innkeeper on iOS, which is my only Hearthstone platform. It does card tracking also, but I don't do that, and they don't have it updated with the latest cards. But you can add a deck, leave the card portion blank, and then add games. You just click on a deck after you make it, it has you pick if you had the coin or not, and your opponents class. You report if you win or not, and it adds it all up. It does not have the most complex stat tracking, but it does show win/loss record, win percentage, win percentage with and without coin for your total wins, and a bar graph for match ups. It actually really helped me with thinking I was playing from behind with my dragon priest without the coin. Stats showed I won more games without the coin than with, lol. You do have to manually track, but double clicking the home button and reporting, then double clicking to go back only takes a few seconds once you have it down. E
This is the first time I've posted on HS TA forums, even though I've been a part of this game since its release. I feel the need to bitch a moment. Yes, yes, typical salty ass class bitching. Will everyone stop running the same Druid and Paladin decks please? I mean seriously. My playing has dwindled in the past 3+ months because the ever increasing amount of the same 2 decks past Rank 16. It's not that I can't beat them... I've made counter decks specifically for these token decks. It's just... I'm ####ing tired of playing them. I played 6 (two of them TB) games today, currently at Rank 16 ATM, and 5/6 games were Druid, and 1 was Pally. I get it... They're strong and you want to win... I truly get it. I made a Druid that revolves around the eggs and token smashing as well... It works, efficiently and quickly. But Jesus... 9/10 times I play games against Druid and 7/10 times, depending on what class I play, I get smashed on. I'm not a stupid player; I'm decent. It's not that I "can't beat them" being the problem... My problem is that... it just gets monotonous as shit and discouraging as shit when you wanna play against someone with variety and you get the same run of the mill Druid/Pally token decks. /endrant

Im really attached to Elise Starseeker now. I cant imagine myself playing control warrior without her. Im going to prioritize crafting a golden Elise to get all the converted legendaries into golden ones. LOL
I've been trying to put her in all my control decks including warrior and really want to craft her golden card as well but try as I might, I rarely pull off the golden monkey (unless I have 2 cards left it seems). I've played her in hundreds of games and only pulled it off a handful of times.. But I keep trying. I love her!
What i like about her is that she isnt really a dead card. Not as efficient in value, but when hard casted on turn 4 still puts a decent 3/5 body on the board. Near the end of the game, once you have managed to gain card advantage by value trading, your dead cards or anything left become threats. I think what she provides just fit my playstyle. Earlier today i fought a priest who used his 2 Lightbombs a little early, so i just played golden monkey when i still had about 8 cards in the deck and he had 7, and i had a 6-power gorehowl equipped. I was ahead in life due to high armor (i was at about 20+ armor that time as i had Justicar early which he lightbombed with something else i forgot). He just couldnt keep up with a legendary each turn even though he entombed a ragnaros and a gahzrilla. Oh, and usually the mvp of the deck is Gorehowl going for 3 or even 4-for-1 on average, it's ridiculous if you have much life gain (armor)
Having so much fun with my super ramp Aviana Druid. Sea Witch has turned Aviana into a good card. I started playing it as a joke, and now I've played it to rank 10, even though I haven't had much ranked time this month. Nobody ever sees 30-40 mana worth of drops in one turn coming, I'll have to post some pics soon. My current record is playing 44 mana worth of minions in one turn, lol! E
And now for some useless screaming into the void: Can people please stop playing Secret Paladin in Casual mode!? I mean I understand people trying to ladder with that deck....but in casual mode? Really?!! It just seems like wimping out to me. And if I want to play against the same decks over and over again, that's what Ranked mode is for. Hell, I'll even admit to playing Secret Pally in Ranked, but in Casual? Playing that deck in Casual and thinking that you're a good player is akin to Donald Trump wearing that horrible rug in public and thinking he has hair.
That's a clever idea! I played around with the Seawitch but couldn't make anything of it. Don't have Aviana though.
I initially tried a Sea Witch Warrior that didn't pan out. The insane ramp capability of Druid coupled with Aviana seems to be the ticket. I'm even playing Nourish in the deck for extra ramp and card draw. Here is some pics of how insane it can get, featuring the heads of Secret Paladin and Aggro Shaman, lol. Also, proof of my personal record. After a recount it is a 45 mana drop in one turn, you can see in the pic they are all sleeping... Can anyone help me with how to actually show pics in post?
