Just opened my best pack ever! It was a pack of original cards that I got from the spectator quest. First card was the mage's secret counter spell. Next card was a common. Next card was Alexstraza. Another common. Last card was Nozdormu. 2 Legendaries and a rare in 1 pack!!
Nice! I've gotten a grand total of one legendary the entire time I've been playing... (and I dusted it for my 2nd Preperation, no regrets! ) Only thing the RNG seems to want to give me are giants... which I've also happily dusted to make other cards. (Never got a Frost Giant though - that would have come in handy in this week's brawl!)
I've been trying to grind to legend this month and holy crap it's ridiculous...I've been jumping between rank 4-2 for the last 4 days. I'll win a few and lose some and win a few and lose some. I'm currently rank 2 with 2 stars. I'm literally 8 straight wins away from legend. It's so close I can taste it haha. I could finally take a break if I hit legend just once. I've been rank 3 the past 2 seasons and I hope this season is the one. Idk how these guys do it every month. It's mayhem
Highest I got was rank 6...it's totally insane. Would love to hit legend as well but not in the cards for me yet. But I keep coming back for more....
Does anyone get it to work on a jaimbroken device im on a iphone 6 ios 9.0.2 jb atm and i cant seem to login on it at all
I finally did it!!! I hit Legend for the first time tonight!!! I'm so stoked right now. I went on an 11 game win streak to seal it. Wish I could import pictures but Eli said its broken ): sad day
Nice one! I'm stoked to have finally got my golden rogue. Pirates are the way forward ... Sort of ... Fun though. To anyone needing advice I'd recommend Trump Teachings on YouTube, solid overview of the game.
Niiiice. Must be really excited, I know I would be! Your heart must have been pounding near the end of the final match... Congrats.
Hahaha dude you have no idea. I almost had a heart attack from game 3 to legendary. It was amazing. The adrenaline was a pumping. When I won my last game I literally jumped up and threw my phone like I won the damn lottery. My wife was cracking up. I jumped up and screamed like a crazy child. I'm surprised I didn't wake my kids up. It was a cool feeling bro. Don't know if I'll ever do the grind again though but I might try. It was a week long struggle for me from 4 to legend. Back and forth back and forth. It was worth the struggle for this achievement for me though. Thanks Charley for the kind words
Congrats! Had been keeping an eye on your level and knew you were working your tail off! Awesome achievement. Still mainly playing Druid? I think you were playing Dragon Priest when I last spec'd.
My attention span isn't the best so I switch decks a lot but I took it home with the cancer secret paladin (; it was a more midrange secret with 2 aldors and some more control. I ran one quartermaster for my musters and whatnot. It was amazing man. I loved it. Now I can play around with all kinds of fun deck ideas now that I've hit legend once. I've got some crazy ideas running around
Congrats! Actually, the deck I have that does best so far is a Rogue Hybrid Pirate deck, relying mostly on weapon synergies... Now if they'd just bring the servers back up I could play...
Can anyone tell me what's the point of playing this garbage game ? Its so obviously unbalance when you are faced with a player who spend tons of money having tons of epic and rare cards. Most of time I lose not because I got lousy cards or my skill sucks, they just always have those better cards which require either 0/1 mana. Pathetic money face developers. They could at least filter the match making referring to the amounts of rare/epic/legendary card each player has. well... watever, dont feel like this app deserve a space in my phone, I believe there are much more games that could entertain me much more. (Never played such unbalance multiplayer game in my life, what an experience.)
Clearly someone has only been playing a few days... You don't need to spend a bunch of money on this game to make a good deck. What you do need to spend, is a good bit of time. Before you start playing other players, you need to get each class leveled up to 10 to unlock all of the basic cards. I would also recommend beating all of the classes in the solo practice mode on expert difficulty (you get some card packs or gold or something, can't remember). By that time, you should be a bit more prepared to start playing against other people. Check out sites like hearthpwn.com for deck ideas and strategies. Finish daily quests for more gold to buy card packs to fill out your collection. Eventually you will start getting doubles that you can break down into materials for use in crafting specific cards you haven't gotten yet. You don't have to spend a single dime on this game to be good at it. You just need to play long enough to get good at it. Trust me, having a bunch of the "best" cards does not automatically make you win.
Absolutely agree. Check out Trump's F2P video series on YouTube before writing this game off as unbalanced.
Alright then, I will give it one last chance, clearing all my expert difficulty and try matching again. see how it goes.
I wouldn't say Hearthstone is perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but you have some pretty silly criticisms against it. You are complaining that there is an advantage to having more cards in a deck builder? Or that people that spend money on the game may have better cards than someone who doesn't? Welcome to every CCG ever made. What would be the motivation for people to spend money on a CCG if they didn't get any notable advantage? Hearthstone actually offers a fair amount of alternatives as well. You could play single player campaigns if you wanted to avoid playing real people, heck a friend of mine just plays the free single player AI as he finds that enjoyable. You could also play the Arena or Tavern Brawls. The Arena offers a balanced playing field where it doesn't matter who has a better collection as it involves drafting. Tavern Brawls change each week, but many utilize pre-constructed decks. Certainly, like any game, Hearthstone won't be for everyone. However, as a CCG it is actually remarkably balanced in offering players a variety of ways to approach the game. Don't completely forsake cheap cards either, using sites such as this: http://hearthstoneplayers.com/basic-starter-decks-guides/ I managed to make fairly competitive decks with a rather lackluster collection which enabled me to win better and better cards.
Aaarrgh! I really wish they would do something to change Nozdormu. I was just in a match, facing death next turn, and opponent had Noz and a green drake on the board. The drake only had one health, Noz was full. I drew a jeweled scarab (discover a 3-cost card)and immediately dropped it. Talk about some well time luck, big game hunter was one of the options! I quickly tapped it and went to play it (was going to use BGH on Noz and ping the drake, which would clear the board), but the animations of the card draw and discover effect soaked up all the timeand the turn ended. I wasn't so much mad that I lost (I'm pretty sure the match was doomed anyway), but that I couldn't make my play because of the animations. This isn't the first time I've been sabotaged by the animated effects of the game while Noz was on the board. It doesn't happen often, but it's really, really frustrating when it does. I think the ability on Noz is fine, but the clock should stop while animations are playing out. That's probably not doable with latency and other factors, though. I would really like to see Nozdormu get a better, or at least more fun, ability. Something like "Deathrattle: turn back time to the round in which Nozdormu was played." (Nozdormu would not be returned, of course. He still dies.) Ok, sorry, rant post over. Just had to whine my frustration out somewhere, lol.
