Anyone know if there is a hdmi adapter for iphone 5s. I can always just get a standard hdmi adapter to be used with my ipad 2 and then grap an adapter but I would imagine the input into the phone being too weighty.
There is an adapter specifically for the lightning connector. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter
All hail Dust Cloud, he has volunteered to be one of the Vice President of HDMI Loverz Club. I have approved the appointment, so let's all give him a hand! Also, I appoint Nightc1 as one of the Vice Presidents too! Welcome, and salutations! Hey, if you got iphone 5 hdmi post a screenshot if you can, we are all curious what widescreen games would look like. No borders without stretching would be cool, welcome all including Lost Deputy! Attached shot of Real Racing 3. Signed, Connector President of the HDMI Loverz Club
No worries. The bad thing with playing with the i5 is having to take photos with my ipad2 Im expecting alot more enjoyability out of shmups. I hate covering the screen with your finger but i do like the responsiveness. This might be the start of a beautiful friendship
Thought I'd just check the diff between the two on my appletv first. Here is the ipad2 borders and all
Damn, that looks sweet!!!! Holy mackeral, now I want an iphone 5! Never felt an urge to upgrade to an iphone 5 til now! Wow seeing your and nightc1's pictures have impressed me, but wow, that widescreen on the iphone 5 looks so wonderful. And the iphone is so much lighter and would be great for tilt games like driving games like asphalt 7, nfs most wanted, and real racing. Do any of you iphone people have Beat hazard? Since it is an airplay hdmi game, does it play well on iphone hdmi? Geez, wish my stupid iphome 4 worked with hdmi so I could use my hdmi cable that I use with my ipad 3, so sad. I wanna an iphone 5 so I can get widescreen with no stretching or zoomimg. Attached screenshots of Real Racing 3 with zoom 4x mode on my 1080p Tv. Love the zoom 4x mode, you guys all have 5 zoom and stretch modes on your tvs? Oh, and get Catch the Ark! It is a GREAT hdmi game. Please post some more screenshots especially ones that we have posted in the past so we can compare. Thanks!
Oh, Lost Deputy, I hereby proclaim you another Lost Deputy Vice President of the HDMI Loverz Club I will order you some business cards. Wow, 3 Vice Presidents! I am so excited! And anyone reading this, you can join our club if you have Apple TV, at first I wanted to change the thread name to iOS Console Loverz Club, but I got a reputation as a HDMI fanboy, so guess we shall go with the HDMI Loverz Club, hehe. Another screenshot of RR3, zoom 4x mode.
Connector I am honored. Here is i5 with the hdmi. Bloody hell it's awesome. I highly recommend!! Being passionate about both I can say without a doubt that this is, in fact, the best thing since sliced bread
Ok I'm sold. Sure consoles are cool but playing something of this quality then throwing it in your pocket is pretty amazing *no it's not upside down. You are!
I can't believe people play iOS games on the TV??? Why not buy a console or a Vita to enjoy luxurious gaming, rather than touch/tilt games on the tv? I know you can't get the same experience on real consoles but there's a very good reason for why only games with more depth are available. iOS is fun and everything - there are a lot of great mobile games. I would seriously consider buying a Vita if you are serious about gaming though. I'm not a troll and was a very regular poster on here at one point and played hundreds if not thousands of iOS games but after owning a Vita and getting into console quality handheld gaming I can't believe how much money I spent on junky 5 minute games.
For me I've always been a console gamer. Alas with kids my lounge room has been taken hostage. So now I can play a wide variety of great games on the fly and when the little ones are out u can plug in to the system and its still bloody awesome. Please note that that we are well aware of the other gaming options out there but enjoy our current set ups for various different lifestyle choices. If you wanna add to this thread on hdmi for ios then go ahead. However bringing your in depth insight into the pros of more powerful systems is nothing we can't unearth ourselves
I think we are all console friends here, but alot of us use our idevices as computers, doing everything a laptop would with a lot of popular games. And a certain segment of us want an idevice to play as a console. I used to have a modded xbox with a ton of games, and got bored of it quickly. Ios has a great diversity in games. And the games nowadays really are getting close to console quality. I used to be one of the leading people in xbox modding scene throughout the world, trust me. Still got bored. Ios, I can play night and day if I like, plus I use my ipad as a laptop, so it is cheap in a way. And hella fun. Do not underestimate an idevice as a console. Yeah, there are only a handful of us, and yes, it is largely a tech demo, but it is totally awesome. I have played a PS3 and Vita numerous times, and honestly, I don't miss the console world except for street fighter type games. Just you wait, I predict one day, an idevice will be a portable console. Try it and you will see the potential. Especially with a bluetooth joystick like the Gameloft Duo gamer joystick or icade core. Laugh now, but there could be a day when a dedicated console will become extinct. A portable console system that can pass as a laptop might become the new standard. I don't think it is out of the question. But we are all console supporters here, so we are fully aware that alot of console games are better than an equivalent ios game. That is not new, that is obvious. But look at the overall picture, an idevice can do anything a laptop and console can do, a hybrid portable system with hdmi tv output. That is sexy...
Great hdmi tv and appletv game going free tonight. Get it, if you don't have it, also, change the difficulty settings to the hardest mode if in single race cause the framerates are faster and better. Here is a really old hdmi new ipad screenshot, I gotta try to get a better one. If anyone has a chance to post screenshots of it, go ahead please. Dang, sounds exciting even though I doubt if I would ever buy a 3d tv, but man a video game in 3d would be awesome.... Wooho, read the description, multiplayer is coming out? That would be rad on hdmi tv or appletv. Screenshot of Flashout from my new ipad. But the point is that 3d sounds exciting (and I haven't actually watched anything in 3d on the tv yet) F34R Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2012 840 1 18 #139 F34R, Feb 22, 2013 Alrighty... first off.. huge thanks to Connector for guiding me to where I needed to be in order to learn about HDMI for my iPhone 5/iPad 4.
