I really don't regret many of my purcahses. Most of my games are from promos (yes even premium games like CarJack Streets (not out yet), Zen Bound, TouchGrind, Bounce On, Bobby Carrot, Archibald, Lux DLX). I have had my iPod since early Jan and I've only spent <$100 and probably have all if not more games than most of the seasoned iPodders thanks to promos and generous developers. If I hadn't come across this site, I would be about $300 deep in costs for games. I'm not bragging or anything, but I am saying of the games I did purchase, I really regret none of them.
The only thing that bothers me is that I find myself not playing all the games I do have. I bought Fastlane the first day it went on sale and haven't played it since, but I don't regret getting it.
If any of you see my posts often enough, you'll know that it takes some convincing to get me to buy a game, in most cases I add it to my AppSniper and wait for a sale, such as I did with FieldRunners, because I couldn't piss away $5 on a game with 3 or 4 levels.

I was just about to purchase wild west pinball when out of nowhere, I won it from the promo giveaway club. That would've been a huge regret if I purchased that. Didn't know there was only 1 table :p

Sad to read that you regret to have bought ExZeus because you found the game being challenging. While the very first version was direct from the Arcade and with a fixed difficulty (very challenging :)), from 1.2 you can really lower the difficulty and adjust everything including "Bosses" and "Enemies", if you set both to BEGINNER there is really no difficulty to break the game ;) , and people are really making great highscore in the worldwide leaderboard....

I'm hating on Kroll, Zombieville USA, SpaceX and Retro Defense! Out of the 50+ games I own. (There's more I can't remember...)

Days of Thunder - controls are weird
    Paper Pilot - too laggy
iCave - probably only person that bought it
Billy Frontier - still don't understand what this game is

#1 Topple - I paid money for this crappy 10 min game. Before the 10 min is even up, they made it free. Ngmoco, scr*w you! The game stinks. After u beat it (which is all of 10 min), you wouldn't pick it up again. Topple2? No thank you.

#2 Billy Frontier - What a piece of crap. Pangea can eat sh*t and explode into a thousand pieces for putting out this POS.

#3 Kroll - I waited for this game and it came out. I much rather it never came out. It stinks.

Regret? Ok I'll just make a list of everything I've bought but haven't really played much past the first day or two (half a week at most):

Arcade Hoops Basketball, Attack from the Dead, Chronicles of Inotia, Dr Arugula, Dungeon & Hero, Dungeon Defense, Fieldrunners, First Contact, GeoDefense, Guitar Rock Tour, Hit Tennis, Hospital Havoc, Interceptor, Koi Pond, Missile Command, Orions: Legend of Wizards, Paradise: The Beginnng, rRootage, Surface to Air Mayhem, Zombie Invasion, Zombieville USA.

It's kinda sad really, but at least 75% of all apps I buy I don't play after the initial go. GeoDefense and Fieldrunners are perfect examples, they seemed half-decent but after the intitial play I had absolutely no desire to ever fire either up again.

I've learnt my lesson though, and haven't really bought anything since Wolfenstein was released.

I disagree with you guys about Zombieville and SimCity.

Zombieville I still play today, and SimCity... well... it is exactly the same as the computer version, so what more could you want?

I kinda agree on the TD front, the only TD I really enjoyed was The Creeps.

oh, and the WORST TD ever is 7 Cities, I hated that. Luckily I only got it for 99 cents:D

There are very few apps I regret purchasing, and even then, none of them are bad.

VyFight is neat, but it's a bit.. well, all over the place, at least that's how I've experienced it. It feels unpolished, but it's not bad.

Radio Flare. Again, not a bad game, pretty charming, but perhaps I've just not played it enough. It seems fairly shallow, and while it borrows ideas from Rez (slide over enemies to lock on, release to shoot, this happens to the beat of the music) it's not nearly as frantic or fun. Again, perhaps I haven't played enough of it.

There are several other games that I haven't played much, such as Trapped. Most are quality games that sadly are buried under the new games that I frequently buy. I've recently been playing a bunch of Airport Mania, Monopoly and Sentinel, and that's time spent not playing other games.

Oh, and I do love SimCity. I don't understand the problems everyone has with it. I can do what I need to, just fine. No crashes yet either.

Large game developers are making a huge sum selling the $6.99-$19.99 games for iPhone, which is ridiculous. First of all, they probably put 1/100 of the effort in making an iPhone game compared to a PC/console game. PC/console games sell for perhaps $10-20 when it's a bit outdated? It's ridiculous iPhone remakes are as expensive as slightly outdated complete PC/console versions...
This is made even more ridiculous that it seems none of those expensive ones are even good; there are lots of $0.99-$2.99 stuff that are excellent.

There are defiently a lot that I bought and just never played after the first time or so like Simcity. Kinda makes me regret buying so many but I still have a lot of fun and I have plenty of choices on games. When I get bored I can always just search through the games and find something to play which is nice.

Honestly my faviorate purchases are usually the TDs, but thats just me.

hahaha, fifty bucks!!!:D was that one of their sales? That game was a joke.

I agree that asphalt sucked. The graphics and phyics were great, but the controls were terrible.

GI Joyride is awesome!!! It is still my most-played game ever, I love it!
