lets stay on topic so this isnt shut down. i like it when i get lucky and receive a promo code to a game that i am wondering about buying so that i dont have to regret purchasing it. recently the only app i regret is pocket god. i find it to be more of a kiddie game than anything else
Pocket god (meh, its boring) Car Jack Streets UniWar (can't seem to do good at it, graphics throw me off) Enigmo (do I have to explain why?) Temples of Arkadoom (needs too much work done to it) Dark Raider (got on sale for 99 cents, not even worth 99 cents) A bunch of others I regret, but they got deleted off my ipod.
FlightControl - just can't get into it, as much as everyone seems to love it Oregon Trail - fun the first time around, but not much replay value MotionX Poker MotoChaser
Inotia.... "Oh! This looks cool! And a good choice for my first app " 1 week later.... "...Why did I buy this again?" P.S Moto Chaser? I like that game!
I regret getting: Zen Bound Pocket God (even though it was just $1) iShoot iDracula ($1) I semi-regret getting: The Quest (even though I put many hours into the game, I just cant stand it anymore)
Just off the top of my head... - Chop Sushi! - De Blob - Enigmo - Moto Chaser - NY Times Crosswords Daily 2009 - Pocket God - Primrose - Smarter Than a 5th Grader? - Super Breakout - The Price is Right - Topple - Trivial Pursuit - TV Show King - Word Fu
You regret getting iShoot and iDracula, and the Quest? they are great games ;p, I tried Zen Bound Lite and didn't really like it either.
a they should at least put something cool in it like a dogfight mode. They need to turn it into a game
Spore (not enough depth, too simple) and SimCity (has depth and complexity--maybe too much--but just didn't appeal to me after the first city).
I have wasted money on Sim City (Im not the only one), Motor Chaser, Warship, 3d chess, Millionaire, WestWard, Lets golf, and a lot more. I know a lot of people loved hero of sparta and Brothers in arms, but I found them really boring after 20 mins or so. Wasted 20 bucks on those games.
Ancient Legion was the first app I got that infuriated me and made me wish for a kind of refund policy. There have been plenty of games I barely played, but at $0.99 or $2.99 I never felt all too badly if I logged two hours and never touched them again. Ancient Legion couldn't entertain me for 15 minutes, and thus feels like $5.00 thrown in the trash. TERRIBLY localized.... utterly clunky UI... and no matter what anyone tells you it is no better than any of the generic browser "MMOs". Cozy Quest may have a fraction of its content, but has ten times the thought put into it, and at least one can see precisely where it will grow into something great.
just bought vipValet because someone said it was like flight control... NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!!!! it sucks bad.
copy+paste from my response on another site: Saturday Night Fever - I was told it was like Elite Beat Agents for the DS and it is, except for the fun and interesting parts. StickWars - It was number one on the paid apps list so I figured it must be good right? Yah...got bored of it within minutes, haven't touched it since. Metal Gear Solid Touch - Metal Gear Solid?!? How can you go wrong? It went wrong, very wrong. Payback - GTA on my TOUCH!! It might be a good game if only the controls weren't so freaking horrible. Of course this is all my opinion, somebody else might think these games are "teh bezt evar!1" and that's fine
