Arvale was not so good at $3. The graphics were ok, and battle sequences sucked. It is also wayyy to hard to progress in the game, and the enemies are boring and too easy to kill. I'm waiting for Zenonia now.
I regreted purchasing Rogue Touch for a day or two, but I forced myself to play it and I saw the inner beauty of it.
yea i have that problem too buying an app just because it looks good then finding out that it is lame
My only regret so far is buying 'Board@Work'. I just don't get it and I soon get sick of hearing that I'd be more comfortable with a Zune or something about low expectations. Hearing those 2 things play over and over with no option to turn just the speech off, and having my games end because the screen fills up with more blocks than I can erase, is just plain annoying. It angers me just typing about this game...
I regretted buying Sprill after playing it a while. It tends to crash after 3-4 scenes of searching. And always seem to be searching for the same object.
Aqua Forest. Probably the only one I regret. I remember trying the tutorial, and thinking wow, this goes on for a while... until I realised I had already progressed to the game proper, and this was "it". Eeek.
Of 150 apps...? Sure I have...: These are the ones that accumulated, hardly ever used or played with: - Apocalypse (Leuvison) ... stupid and not even supported anymore - Decibel (T. Matuschek) ... inaccurate because of bad mic in the iPhone - Deal or No Deal MDM (i-play) ... stupid and boring - Gaelan Gong (Ade Barkah) ... it's just a mini gong and low vol. at that - Good Guide ...pc crap with outdated or for your location not applicable info - Good Rec ... listens in via their website and is crashy - not good - i-map-u (Sakshi Arts) ... useless info you can get somewhere else better - iBowl (SGN) ... stupid - you might just toss & crash your phone, not good - KPCC Radio ... crashy & buffer is useless - Wunder and Pandora are better - Lux Touch (Sillysoft Games) ... used to be better but then they turned my version into the "lite", now they're charging for the upgrade...bad idea - Life Paint (C. Walker) ... not much you can do with it except diddle around - Radiolicious ... anything but. Only clear channel stations - bad variety - Showtimes (Avantar) ... used to be ok but they messed it up - Stanza (Lexcycle) ... like the Kindle - read large works on your iPhone?!? - Tilt Shift (M.Krause) ... like most photo apps - what exactly does it do? - Truveo ... just another you tube client... bad. - TV Status (D. Stoker) ... from Australia - inaccurate and bad - Units (the mac box) ... not that helpful, iConvert is a lot better - Wallpaper Search (Hambel Software) ... backgrounds, sure but you can't set them behind your home screen - bad variety. - Watch It Change (Anglebar Solutions) ... only for nerdy fidgeters, uses the iPhone as camera... yeah, right... - What's On? (Napkin Studio) ... too little, too late - i.TV is the leader now - 10 seconds ago pro (Nao Tokui) ... bad recording quality and essentially spyware! - 40-30-30 (Frank Schmitt) ... yeah sure, for diet fetishists only Note how there are very few game purchases in here, mostly productivity and lifestyle apps...what does that tell you? The gaming audience is more critical which will result in better games overall - focus on the games, Apple iTunes!
Arvale: sucks, no polish, crappy controls, crappy graphics, no clear directions. Watchmen: crashes all the time despite TWO UPDATES Billy Frontier: lamest POS on the fragging planet Westward: stupid and hard, never liked it and.... Moto Chaser: ..... uh.... I think you guys all know about that one
Kinda regretting my purchase of VyFighter. It doesn't seem very compelling, the controls could use some work (namely when flying down and then trying to turn). Graphics are nice though. Still haven't really played RadioFlare much to say if I'm disappointed in it.. too many other cool games to play. Trapped. It's kinda slow and clunky.. only played it once so far. But it's an adventure game and those usually aren't very compelling right from the beginning, so I'll have to play it some more. That's about it, I guess. I try to read reviews on games or try Lite versions when available, but sometimes I just cave in, wanting something new. VyFighter was my first tilt-controlled flight game and RadioFlare was one of the first side-scrolling SHMUPs I got.
Terminator felt like a huge rip off. I completed it in an hour and a half and paid $10 (price dropped a week after release!). I've bought games before and had the price drop later but this is the first time its dropped right after release. I was considering buying Assassin's Creed but now I think I will skip it or at least wait for a large price drop.
Defend Your Castle...StickWars is so much better. Dungeon & Hero Orions Thot...over in a flash...not exactly what I expected really.
Just out of interest have you tried playing Defend Your Castle on classic mode? I find it a much better game than StickWars especially on classic mode: Although many people enjoy StickWars a lot more.
I have Defend Your Castle on Wii, and while I enjoy the intensity (Oh <deity> the intensity!> I do find it lacking in the visual OOMPH! department. The style is nice but it misses the little touches like arrows actually shooting out and hitting the enemies. I don't recall seeing any, no matter how many archers you have. That's just being nitpicky on the visual side though.
I can sometimes see the staples (not arrows) flying towards the stickmen on the iPhone version. StickWars does have the upper hand in visual Archers etc though. On a side note I've kind of turned this thread into this one.
