I play my PS3 the most, but I've been downloading a lot of apps recently so my iPhone is getting some good mileage. I don't think I'll ever consider it my primary gaming device, but it sure fills in all the gaps during those times when I'm bored of other consoles.

My iPhone has become my most-played gaming device, that is for sure.

Yah mostly because of kids though, I don't have much time to play on my 360 or any deep meaningful games on any other platform. The iPod/iPhone is great because of the amount of bite-sized games, but doesn't compare to my 360,PS2, GC, DS(when I had it) IMO of course.

My answer is definitely YES. A few reasons why:

    1. Tons of variety in the App Store, both "professional" games from EA and Gameloft as well as quirky indie devs.

    2. Cheap and easy purchases, lots of sales. The 99c prices remind me of when I was a kid during the big video game crash before Nintendo took over: all the old stuff was blown out for next to nothing. I stocked up on Atari, Intellivision, Colecovision, etc.

    3. Fits in my pocket and goes everywhere. Can't say that for DS, and even PSP Go is a chunker compared to the sexy slim iDevices.

    4. Network connections and innovative use of social and location information. OpenFeint and Plus+ are almost as well implemented as XBOX Live IMHO.

    5. Apple's position in the marketplace. In the past, we've seen system wars between competing computer platforms (Commodore vs Atari or Microsoft vs Apple), soundcards specs (Creative vs Adlib), console manufacturers (Sega vs Nintendo vs Sony). For once Apple is the far-and-away market leader and Android, PalmOS, or Win7 Mobile isn't even close. Apple is the Nintendo of the phone game space.

    6. Fair DRM in the iTunes store. I have my phone, my wife's phone, and a 1stgen Touch that can all run our music, movies, and apps.

I like the PS3, Wii, etc but at this point in my life it's much tricker to get couch time for those "serious" things. Ravensword on the iPhone is about as "heavy" an RPG as I can handle nowadays.

I spend the majority of my gaming time on my Ipod Touch, but my 360 is for serious gaming.

Got Tatsunoko vs. Capcom recently and since then my game time for the Wii has absolutely skyrocketed. :p

Don't think it quite beats my PC for primary console though.

If I had more time to play games, my Mac and PC would be my primary gaming devices, but I generally only get 15-30 min. here or there to play throughout the day. So iphone fits the bill.

I own a Xbox 360 but after it RROD for the second time I was over it so I sold all my games and accessories and brought a 32GB Ipod Touch. I don't have long gaming sessions as I use to so the ipod touch suits me better nowadays.

Yes! I don't know why it is but I'm the exact same way. In fact I have a small pile of 360 games I do want to play, but then my iPhone calls softly to me.

Slowly but surely it has taken the top spot and isnt letting go without a fight.

I also have a PS3, a 360, Wii, DS and a PSP (somewhere... think my sister still has that!)

The last major system I used was the PS3 and that was a few weeks ago, 360 got its last look in when Assasins Creed 2 launched, I cant remember the last time the Wii was turned on (oh yeah just before xmas when New Super Mario came out) and Zelda spirit tracks for DS got a bit of a play through...

My main problem is I just dont have the time to invest in games like I used to as a kid growing up, so tend to favour more pick up and play things nowadays, my iphone is ideal for that and I constantly find myself returning to that over the bigger home consoles and portables such as the DS simply for the convenience and the fact that I always have it with me.

Charging my phone throughout the day is not an uncommon occurance for me after using it to make a few calls, playing games on the way to work, listening to music, Facebooking and visiting forums like this!

Yep, I sold my DS Lite and stopped playing my consoles a few months after I bought an iPod Touch.

I will probably sell my DS and DS Lite. I have a flashcard, but all the games are boring. I literally have not touched my DS since I got my Touch. Also, the Wii isn't very fun right now...
