If you are not in the USA then promo codes are worth nothing, they don't work. Contests involving promo codes are worth nothing. There may have been one or two contests for those people who don't live in the USA but if there were I don't recall. Now, to answer the OP: TA meaning arn, blake, hodapp, big albie etc have given excellent advice so they have neither saved me or cost me. They have enabled an informed decision. TA meaning members has cost me. It's the OMG! THIS IS GREAT!!!!Best game ever, will always be on my device, how did I live before it and then two weeks later they do it all over again. Hype and more hype. But now I wait. If a game thread is still getting good posts after 3-4 weeks I might buy but so many sink so fast that why bother? Remember that game which was put up to $39.99 for a weekend? Some sort of match 3 thing. The owner did that because he said his game was worth it so people should pay it? That made me look at all the games I have for my consoles that ARE worth their money and yet I was neglecting those to play the ipod touch. Why would I play the touch when I can play Fallout 3, Disgaea, MW, Wipeout and so many others? And why would I keep buying when I have so many unplayed already? That weekend marked a big drop in buying. I am really selective now so in the end it wasn't TA that saved me money, it was that developer.
