Hi everyone.. As my title say was wondering if anyone has beta tested an application? I recently got an email to apply for beta testing the next i.tv update and applied thinking I had no chance. Fortunately, I got an email saying i was selected to beta test the new next update and have been waiting. Just was curious if anyone else had tested an application, what i can expect testing it, etc? Thanks

    I've beta tested quite a few games/apps

just use it the way you normally would but try and use it as often as possible. If you notice something wrong try to recreate it. Make a detailed note of it and send it to the dev with your firmware number and what device you are using. (some devs prefer different methods of contact)

for stress testing a game or app devs usually get someone like me to handle it since I know what I'm doing with that stuff.

    It won't be hard.

    Have fun!

I have also reviewed/beta tested some top apps, the most recent being Zombie Mansion (expected very shortly). As VegantTnT says, all you need to do is use the application as you would normally. If you spot anything wrong like UI abnormalities or slow down in frame-rates etc you report this back to the dev.

You never know, beta testing may just become that little bit more interesting with the new app promo codes, as you'll actually get to keep the app in question for providing feedback regularly!

Yeah, I have just finished beta testing for Quadrum:Colors. I really enjoyed it and would love to do more. I think it is great that developers can come here and get beta testers that will give good feedback.
