This all the way. Yes, its 'inspirations' are completely obvious but it's executed so well that it's a bloody great game in its own right. Like I said, I love it. Still have no clue what to do on Pinata mode though. And Snake mode is still the best
It's an extremely well made, and I love the things the lines say Especially when you're just playing Snake And when you pick up a red powerup and Lionel goes "I AM CHUCK NORRIS!!!" In Pinata mode you just have to kill the other lines and pick up the points from their yummy remains.
I have the best luck in Pinata playing it like a pacifist game...just avoid and grab. Once it gets crowded, the other snakes start killing each other and your multiplier goes crazy. Such a great game.
Yeah when he picks up the red he also says 'BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!' and I ended up snort laughing on the bus. The stares were worth it. Also thanks for the heads up! I hope Pinata mode gets as crazy as Gauntlet mode.
I think the graphics look sharp on this game. The game is fun too... like a modernized version of the old Nokia snake game. Heh, but I found the witty remarks to be repetitive. I think there should be an option to turn off the remarks. Many of the jokes are old.
HA! I tried something similar. I played the game in portrait mode. Since it was harder to read the repetitive jokes, I was less distracted by it. Also, portrait mode feels more stable for "swipey" mode. I got a nice six-digit score in survival with this trick.
Did anyone find any solution to the following problem? After a while, the game starts displaying the "Rate me" dialog box. Independent of what you select, the app will crash. After killing it and restarting, it'll continue displaying the dialog after every single game, also resulting in crashes. Tested under iOS 5.0.1 on the iPad 2 (no JB; latest version of the game). Unfortunately, rating the game in iTunes doesn't help - the game continues asking for rating. This is a SEVERE problem and makes it impossible to play.
I'm having exactly the same issue on my iPad 2 - really annoying as I just paid for the iPad upgrade to show support for adding icade controls.....
