Thanks guys! You're all so nice. This one might be my favorite level so far. The change is subtle, but needing to unload a ship twice adds a lot of strategy to it. For example, when a ship comes in carrying 2 kinds of cargo, you need to decide which one to unload first, based on which docks are open and which ones are closest. Will be interested in hearing people's strategy on this! I also love getting a new level every couple of weeks. Then you can just totally focus on that level for a while until the next one comes out
One of the ships in the screen shot has (from front to back) orange, purple, orange, purple, does this mean I need to make 4 trips with that one ship to unload, or will it unload all of one color when I dock?
It will unload all of one color when you dock. Also, the cargo distribution is random - you may get full ships that are all one color, or 3 purple + 1 orange, etc.
Nat, I've just downloaded this, and it says it's 59p? Is that right? Seems incredibly cheap? Not sure I downed the right one? Matt
All updates are free for the forseeable future, and yes - you get them automatically when you own the game
We're trying to do an update every week or two, so I don't think we'll be able to code up and test all the features above in one update. But hey, you might see all that stuff eventually in the course of many updates
My idea first! But anyways...this looks great. Particularly the water. The water is very nice. I will echo someone else's question about whether it will be animated?
Ya - I think lots of people had that idea at the same time, and it was a great one, so we decided to run with it. The water is not animated, but with all those ships running around, it seems like it is As for multi-player, we've definitely been batting around ideas on how to do it. In order to keep bringing you regular new updates, we may do Bluetooth first (it's a lot easier to implement), and then if there's demand for it, may do WiFi after that? Haven't totally planned it through.
how about getting the current maps and tweaking them for bluetooth multiplayer? so like in cannon bay one could handle ships, the other the cannon, and so on.
Or we could play bluetooth like FC and have multi cargo. maybe some bigger pirate boats that take more cannon balls to hit. or a dock by your cannon for black cargo, and the amount of black cargo is your ammo
Whatever you do, DON'T do multiplayer like Flight Control... I was hyped when I first heard about FC-multiplayer, but then that very very quickly turned to disappointment, surprise and incredulity when I realised that a multiplayer game on FC has two people correspondingly working together in one friendly team to land planes together and to share the final points-tally, rather than some kind of versus match, where it's one player battling the other for supremacy and a higher score, trying to land more planes than the other and pushing planes onto the other player's screen in an attempt to make them crash! (And the award for longest sentence in a post goes to...) Multiplayer games are about winning, beating the other player not about teamwork and co-operation. Ugh!
