Ahh title says it all, blaze it Have fun today for those of you who chief, for everyone else..Well..Play an iPhone game and be happy for the stoners
Well I mean..It all depends on where you look. There's so many myths/etc as to the origins of it. I think in the end, it came down to a group of stoners that used to meet at that time or some shit. Either way, whatever story you believe, 420's come to symbolize weed. Best 3 numbers ever Lol
itz because there are 420 different chemicals in weed or time of day some people got together to smoke pot
Yeah, it originates from a group of teenage stoners meeting after school at 4:20 to smoke weed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/420_(cannabis_culture)
Really? Wow random lol; nice catch. Kamazar, if you take 3 bags of gummy bears you'll be the coolest kat at school
My... I know someone who believes that people celebrate 420 by smoking weed because it's Hitler's birthday. Boy did I have some things to say about that.
Instead of just celebrating by getting high, you should use this opportunity to realize your voice is the only thing that'll reform marijuana laws in this country. Today should be a day that you write your congress(wo)man and let them know how you feel about marijuana laws, non-violent criminals in jail and prison, and how you will vote next election so be it they refuse to support marijuana reform legislation. Also, there are many career paths that involve marijuana reform, and if California votes 'Yes' to legalize, there will be many more legal jobs in marijuana cultivation, science, distribution, and lobbyists (to continue the trend in other states). Do your research and maybe you can find a career that'll allow you to apply yourself correcting injustices in this country. Happy 420.
I think I've briefly heard that before..Weird Idk lol, everyone has their own..Views..I guess..Lol No way! Lol What Numbers? Are we talking Lost? Cali is pretty close I think, it'll end up happening..The state is too broke to not legalize.
I don't like pot. I don't agree with pot. I don't like being around people doing it, and I've seen what it does to the thought processes of long-term users of it. But then I've also seen the long-terms effects of what alcohol does to users too, and I don't like being around drunks, either, though I don't have the same problem with alcohol as I do with pot. That said, I think it should be legalized. Legalized, grown only by authorized and certified grow ops, sold through government-certified and authorized outlets, taxed like alcohol and tobacco, and treated the same as any other hazardous but legal vice when it comes to use, abuse, and hospital treatments where conditions being treated may be exacerbated or even caused by its use. Of the drugs on the street pot is the least dangerous, more or less on par with alcohol, though it harms the body in different ways than alcohol does. Moreover, it would free up police from busting potheads so they can focus on real criminals, free up jail space for said real criminals, save money they can put towards fighting said real criminals, and the extra tax revenue would be a boon to government coffers. Furthermore it would eliminate the desire for the forbidden that makes smoking up attractive to some people. Amsterdam kinda-sorta decriminalized possession of it, though it's still an offense to sell even if it isn't enforced, and only their "coffee shops" can sell it, and then only 5g per person, and then only to people 18 years or older. Still, I haven't seen any problems it's caused for them. If anything I think some problems would simply go away once the stigma attached to it is removed and the lure of illicit behaviour vanishes. I won't "celebrate" 420, and I still don't agree with it, but I fully support its legalization and the subsequent right to smoke it.
Not that I partake or condone such activities, but there's a big 420 party today in SF at you guessed it...4:20pm. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/scavenger/detail?entry_id=61702
Detroit would follow suit if they want to avoid shrinking their borders to the intersection at Broadway and Gratiot.
As Rocketman and I discussed before, if these pot clubs had any sense, they would open an adjoining snack shop where you could apply the snack tax here in CA. This would generate a significant source of revenue if properly regulated. In the current state of non-legalization, these pot clubs are run by a bunch of smucks who have no idea what they're doing.
That's badass..I'll make my way to a legit one some day. Didn't know about that, but I believe it. I think many states are just waiting for that single state to finally legalize before they legalize it. Domino effect I'm thinking.
