      E) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I played this in the dark, late at night, and the sanity effects really got me going. One time the screen went completely black as though my TV had turned off, and as I am sitting in the darkened room I start hearing guttural, otherworldly voices whispering. No other game has freaked me out the way I felt at that moment.

      E) Alone in the Dark. Yes, the original PC classic...the grandfather of the survival horror genre, the game that created the genre. I was a little kid at the time and nothing like that was released as a video game before. When the first zombie came I remember jumping so much and a lot of times after that. Yeah the scare factor now is really weak, but no other video game made me jump as much.

      Alien

      The one that made me flinch the most had to be Alien (the original, not the sequels). It's the perfect blend of dark and foreboding atmosphere with awesome "gotcha" moments.

      yeah I got a reply, they said I should receive the game "shortly", hopefully before tomorrow before Edge goes back to 5 bucks. :D
