Hammer Bomb is an odd one to describe. Its sort of like a first person dungeon crawler, but at the same time its a lot like Pac Man. Its simple and fast paced with really simple controls. It has randomly generated mazes, and an endless number of levels. Right now we have 5 different maze styles, and we're thinking about doing a sci fi themed add on as an IAP. (Probably 99c). Since it is endless, it makes sense to do free with ads and an IAP to remove ads. Originally we were going to call it Hammer Bomb Bow because those are the main weapons - but we shortened it a little. This is a collab with We're Five Games! Josh, thanks for knowing and understanding your fan base. IAP to remove ads is something some devs just don't seem to understand players will want and appreciate. Will the monsters change with which ever theme you're playing? That eyeball looks pretty freaking awesome. Please post more pictures of the monsters in the game. Also, I'm not sure if it's something I saw somewhere or if I just had the idea, but a first person pac-man game is something I've been thinking would be pretty cool. Good job guys, I can't wait to get my hands on this.
Classic Pac-Man in first person view and as a roguelike-dungeon crawler sounds extremely "thatmustexistalready"-ish, waiting for this one!
A few new creatures are ready! (Compliments of Zach Soares) https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CZn8spXWcAAYVQ4.mp4
So far this is looking great. Those characters models are gorgeous (not word I like to throw around) especially that statue boss. Any hints at the control style yet? Hopefully they aren't swipe controls. I know swiping is super popular these days, but I find them super frustrating.
I think the swipe controls are what sets this game apart from others in terms of simplicity for a dungeon crawler - but I'm not opposed to having a second control option.
