I highly recommend this game if you like dual stick shooters and / or Halo! Worth full price imo. I never regretted my bundle purchase.
It's working now, and still on sale. Just bought both I never got to try the halo games, so maybe these will give me a taste. Bundle was nowhere to be seen, though.
Are both halo games on sale? I don't know what they originally were. Seems only Spartan strike is 2.99.
Yep, that seems to be the case. They were 5.99 each, bundle was 9.99, and the price for both now, since there seems to be no bundle, is 8.98. So, it's all basically the same, if you're after both. I didn't buy these when they came out because, well, X-com. Then, after playing through some dual-shooters, I kind'a remembered about these games. Glad that I did, I'm playing through Assault now, and it's a being a blast
Heh, I really am. I've been playing some pretty neat double stick shooters, like xenowerk and space Marshall, but I was missing something on a bigger scale. This is it And yes, I've read around that Spartan strike is even better, that's why I'm starting with the older one! Pretty glad that it seems I have a lot of content to play
Great game. Lots of good shoot em up. Big maps. Good controls mostly (the grenades are finicky). Having good time.
Haha yes, grenades, I don't have problems using them, what I have issues is avoiding randomly throwing them around whilst in the middle of a fight, or even when I'm just running alone. But agreed, maps are cool and missions varied enough. I was stupid enough to try to do the first vehicle mission on foot, and after dying a couple time, I was like: "Oh my goodness, this escalated quickly!". After a few more deaths I finally understood there was a vehicle there, and then, well, proceeded to absolutely destroy everything Good times. My only gripe would be that it doesn't allow to change languages, so I was suck with Brazilian Portuguese, which is, believe me, not the same as Portuguese. Heck, even if it was, I'd want to change it anyway because the translators unerrlingly do lousy jobs on this kind of stuff. So I was forced to change the language of the whole iPad, which is a bit lame, but whatever, game is lot of fun anyway, and I can still enjoy it in the language it was written on.
Not working on 5s 8.3 Same with Spartan Assault. What gives? black screen error, game doesn't even load.
The latest update claims that you can customize the controls, but all I see is the default option. How do you change the controls?
I am kind of surprised that the update with the sensitivity slider wasn't brought up in here... Oh well... There is one now, if anyone is wondering. And... this... this is probably going to take over the #1 spot on my favorite dual-stick shooter list, knocking Mushihimesama Bug Panic out of the spot it's held for years. =oD
Woh... I should revisit this. I actually played it about an hour tops and never really played much of it, but im going to play this again. I actually forgot about this and got reminded with the recent sale thread bump.
