Anybody getting it? I am going to get standard because I am already getting the 32GB iPod touch 4th gen when it comes out. Anyway, here are the editions coming out for halo reach. Standard:For the casual gamer. If you preorder, you get recon, and if you preorder from gamestop, you get a extra armor permentation. (Near your crotch I think, I'll give this code to a friend) You get these two armor attachments if you preorder at gamestop. And the two items look like this. Recon: UA Multi-Threat Mjolnir Mark V(B) Armor Limited: If you don't mind spending the extra $20 for some elite armor that's pretty sick! This is how the elite armor looks like.... *Drumroll* and the grand daddy of them all.... Legendary! For the true halo addict (like me) or for a rich kid that regularly wipes $100 bills with his ass. Aside from the elite armor, the recon, and the armor for your balls, you get a flaming head, and I don't blame Bungie because like every company, they want profits, and this is gonna work pretty well. [/spoiler] So post your opinion about halo reach here. Also, search up "Blood Gulch Halo Reach" in youtube. It's pretty sweet. Last but definitely not least don't forget to post your opinion on the weapons and abilities on halo reach.
I pre-ordered my Limited Edition copy This will be like my first Halo game I play online, I actually got the Legendary Edition of Halo 3 because the helmet looked really cool, played the campaign for 30 mins then haven't touched it since. I didn't have Xbox LIVE at that time so I missed all the Multiplayer stuff that was supposed to be the best part. Really looking forward to it, just a couple of days more!
This game is gonna be orgasmic, but I don't believe in pre-ordering unless the bonuses are worthwhile. There's gonna be quite a few armors within the game to unlock. The only worthwhile bonus is the flaming helmet, but I sure am not forking over $40 for it.
Oh and does the flaming helmet come with the pre-order or does it come in Limited and Legendary editions? I also just realized the Recon helmet actually looks really dumb. And no you can't haz my helmet.
I pre-ordered the standard edition at Gamestop, so I can get the armor, and I can't wait for it to come out. Looking forward to Forge World especially.
I'll get it eventually, but I don't think I'll rush out and get it on day 1. The beta was a huge improvement over Halo 3's online (which honestly just got annoying), and for me is probably worth the purchase alone.
Actually, he's not being an idiot. While I do enjoy Halo, it's definitely overrated. It's fun, but it's not the greatest FPS ever made, although I will give it credit for popularizing online FPS games.
Eh... I'm thinking Standard, MAYBE, MAYBE I'll go with the $79.99 Special Edition (forgot the name)... depends on A) How much money's in my account, B) how much of an impulse I have to buy it that day, and finally/ most importantly, how drunk I am. I might set off to buy Standard and come back with four Legendaries...
Halo is definitely over rated, but it doesn't mean that this one isn't going to kick major ass. I loved the first Halo to death, thought it was a game ahead of it's time. then 2 came out and it was ok... 3 was good... but ODST blew d!ck. I thought I was going to be done with the series after ODST, but with all the good looking things coming from Reach, I simply cannot wait. I will be pre-ordering here really soon, just gotta finish FFXIII and I have another game to trade in for it. I am literally strapped for cash so I will have to fodder off a lot of my games to get it. Just getting the standard edition too.
I dont see whats over-rated. You get a good story spanning multiple games and some great multiplayer experiences. Thats generally what I want in an FPS. Plus it was the game that kicked off xbox live really.
