Anyone else get the beta early? Does upgrading the armor really do anything? Havnt noticed a difference.
Bungie gave out like 50 or so codes to various review sites and game news sites and they subsequently gave them away. I didnt get one, but I will be playing it come Monday.
I *might* get it from a friend who got it emailed to him from Bungie to apologize for Halo 2's Multiplayer servers getting shut down. He is a notorious liar though, and I can't recall a time he's ever helped me, so who knows.
Microsoft expert zone was giving out codes early. Got mine after taking a test about Halo. lol Nobody seems to use there mic much, no teamwork.

I wish Microsoft and Sony would make a deal to allow Xboxes to have God of War III and PS3's to have this. They'd both make a ton more money.

Quick question: IF i was to own a 360 (Which i *hope* to get soon), should i get the original Halo 3, ODST, or wait for this? I want to have Reach for sure, but its a choice between ODST and 3. ODST comes with all the multiplayer maps from 3, and then 3 new ones! Are you able to have replays and detach the camera in ODST, like you can in 3? Reach will be amazing. I just know it! (And i'm sure everyone else knows too!) EDIT: Oh, another xbox related question; which version of the xbox 360 should i get? I plan to do ONLY gaming. No pictures or videos or whatever. Gaming being Multiplayer online... Sorry for asking so many questions...just trying to make up my mind, wanted some opinions!
Buy your 360 from amazon! They have nice discounts, free shipping and no tax!! Get halo ODST, it has the reach beta. Reach won't be out till September so get ready... lol Get an elite, you can store games on the hard drive which makes it whisper quiet compared to playing games off a disc. You'll be glad you have the extra disc space later on with all the games and DLC offered!

How 'bout your soul? I personally use the... Pro version, I think? Pretty much the Arcade one but with a harddrive. It's working great so far, I install most of my games to the drive after having a couple scratch while playing. I need to get me a can of compressed air, though. Shitload of dust in it. Starting to worry me. I personally don't see the point in getting ODST (from what I've heard, a mediocre game) just to get a code for a two week long beta.
I'm fine with that. Where should i give it to you? I plan to actually play the game, aside from the beta. I'd love to play multiplayer, and stuff. How many games do you have? Have you ever ran out hard drive space? Because so far i only plan to get: Halo ODST COD 4 COD MW2 Halo Reach GTA IV and i'll probably find other games that interest me once i actually own the system... But i'm getting the system for online play only...so i guess the pro is better... Any other opinions? Thanks, RJ
I have both Halo 3 and ODST and depending on what you want to do, each game has positives and negatives. If you want to play mainly single player, get 3, if you want online play get ODST, it has all of the maps. And I didnt think the ODST campaign was bad. And Firefight mode is great if you have a few friends. The beta just sweetens the deal. So for RJ, based on what you have said, get ODST.
