Just a quick heads up to the devs wanting to participate .. check out http://www.apprelief.com for instructions on how to participate.
iTunes store facilitating red cross donations for haitian earthquake relief It seems Apple have the infrastructure all ready, has anyone tried contacting Apple yet? If we ask Apple to organize the payments directly to the charity then 100% of the proceeds will be able to go towards it (as opposed to 70%). I can't make the contact as I'm not a registered developer, somebody else needs to do it.
Very cool news about the iTunes store. Easy way to donate, and I think I'll use it. And when you guys get a list out, I'll pick up some games. I was online yesterday gathering news.. almost all bad. Seems almost every place I was at when down there is reported "collapsed" or "destroyed," including two orphanages and a huge hospital. It does, however, seem that people we worked closely with there are alive, though one woman was flown to Florida with injuries when her apartment collapsed. It's hard to absorb all that's happened. I can't stop yapping about it, because I can't stop thinking about it. So. I just want to thank you guys again for getting involved. You do what you can, right? THANK YOU.
definitely things like these are things that can't leave your mind. It makes me so grateful to be where I am, and wanting to do what I can to help. this is something else that would really help the country: http://one.org/international/actnow/haiti/
I can get Flickitty involved in this for 7 days. I've tried following this thread, but I am not sure if there is a final solution. I suppose I could email Ken from MindJuice Media for more details.
Hi Flickitty! we've set up apprelief.com and are taking submissions for apps through that website, if you want to check it out. Thanks so much!
Starting Tomorrow 1/18 We are starting to list apps as soon as tomorrow. If you are a developer and want to participate please check www.apprelief.com/beapart.php to learn how.

No problem with quoting me. I figure anything posted in a public forum is fair game for others to quote.
Freeverse is confirmed on board! They will donate their share of profits from Skee-Ball for January 18, 19, and 20th this week! Given that Skee-Ball is currently in the #3 position on the App Store charts that should make a nice donation!
Josh has the first batch of games up now! More games have been submitted and will be added soon! http://www.apprelief.com Check it out and help support the cause!
[app]Hi, How Are You[/app] has info has been submitted - once again, thanks for putting this together!
GameSalad has a post about Haiti relief on their blog: http://gamesalad.com/blog/ They link to AppRelief.com and also they're donating 25% of the profits for GS license sales to Haiti relief until the end of January.
I was about to make a couple of purchases in support but none of the apps themselves say they are participating (in the description), nor the developer's websites or twitters (no mention at all of apprelief or haiti support). I also clicked on one of the apps ("amazign tips") and got to the app flickitty on itunes. which one is participating? I will wait to purchase till there's some confirmation that these apps are participating.
