So does this not currently support Backbone controllers? Can’t get it to work so guessing it doesn’t. edit: disregard. I was able to get it to work going through calibration in the menu.
I cannot launch the game on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch 4th Gen running iOS 15.5. Whenever I open the app it tries to update but keeps saying there is some network exception and to check the network connection. I’m tying this post using the same iPad and the same network, so I clearly have network connectivity. When I click yes, it tries again and then goes back to the same error. If I select “No” it crashes to the desktop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the App Store. I then updated the iOS to 15.5 and get the same result. It plays great on my iPhone 13 Pro Max…I’d just like to play it on my iPad
Great game, a lot of fun, and very well made. Does this support backbone controller or only XB/PS? I can't get mine to connect. If I'd not supported right now, can that be implemented? I don't mind using my XB or PS controller when at home but the majority of my gaming is on the go which is where the backbone would be perfect.
I still cannot get this app to work on my iPad Pro 12.9” 4th Gen. I just attempted it again (6:38 AM Central Daylight Savings Time) thinking it might be an overwhelmed server. Same issue. I’ve also deleted the app and reinstalled it again. Same issue. I restarted the iPad again. Same issue. It keeps saying “Failed to update the network exception, please reconnect.” This is followed by a “Yes” and a “No”. Then at the bottom of the screen it says “Patch update failed. Please check the network connection.” The network is working. There is plenty of space on my iPad. No idea. It simply won’t update the patch. One user on Reddit said that they turned off and back on their Wi-Fi and it worked for them. I tried the same this morning and it still does not work. When I uninstall and reinstall the app it loads 123 different local things, but when it goes to download a patch it fails. I’ve tried Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, their website, and here and I can’t seem to get any support. This is frustrating. The game works amazing on my iPhone 13 Pro Max (same network), but I’d like to play it on my iPad for the bigger screen.
At least in Australia unfortunately, this game seems to require an actual wifi connection. It cannot start over 4G. Seems frustratingly and needlessly constrained for what is primarily a single player game (with multiplayer functionality). Please remove the network connection on startup requirement. It absolutely sucks.
Agree 100% with the connection complaints. Been stuck with this game for weeks, unable to play, and unable to refund.
Just tried it on my 8th generation iPad and it connected over wifi without a hitch. Seems to be affecting only some iPad models — weird.
not sure if anyone responded to your question. Once you reach level 10, you can do public matchmaking. Before that I believe you can only invite friend or play solo. Not too sure on the 2nd point as I have not actually tried that.
