This is so freaking good. Easily already my favorite of the dev’s games. Strongly urge everyone to follow the link in the front page news article and hop on the TestFlight beta.
I think quite a few of the dev’s games are portrait only. One-handed turn-based phone games kind of seem to be his thing.
I’ll beat Expert one of these days! Honestly cannot wait until the last bit of polish is on this and I can give the dev some coin for it. Incredible game. Easily one of my favorite iOS-native games in years. Looking forward to hearing what GUNCHO plays on his guitar at camp, seeing the finished animations, being surprised by whatever else is added. Though I can’t imagine there’ll be many or maybe even any changes to gameplay. It feels so balanced and tight as it is. Had to try ENYO again after falling in love with GUNCHO, and yeah, it just doesn’t do it for me. Too hard to read, too much going on with contextual actions. I tried the beta for Maze Machina but bounced off of it as well. Maybe I’ll give it another go. I liked Card Crawl and Card Thief well enough, but nothing like I love GUNCHO.
Which is one of the things I love about this dev. I asked because the screenshots I saw looked landscape.
I am still having a bunch of fun playing the daily challenge on this. What a great game. Edit: And finally, an expert win! Took me 154 moves, but I did it lol.
