I'm working on it I actually try to stick with more of the "small timers" when I pick titles for review, with the one main exception being Chillingo. It's just that I have a nasty looking site that no one has heard of Probably true, but there's still some good stuff out there. Look at the music from Sheepstacker, for example. The Entertainer is probably my all time favorite song. Don't really think it would work here, though. Sadly, sometimes even games by "big names" need to be pointed out. For example, who hasn't heard of Chillingo these days? Anyone familiar with Flip Disc, though? It's actually an insanely frantic and cool puzzle game they published about a week ago, but it interestingly didn't get the buzz that most of their other titles have. Just sayin'...
I am sure you could find someone in the "services for trade" section to make a song for very cheap. Maybe even for free.
