I've been having great success with Sir Potato, my bruiser. #

The patch fixed the instant crashing on my iPad mini, allowing me to actually play!
HOWEVER - it still crashes after about 15 minutes of continuous play time. Usually when I'm looking at the cards. When I reopen the app it starts where I left off, so it's not huge but it sure is annoying.

    Love this game tho

  2. That ended up being my record with the Barb, too. I got cocky and he died after 7 wins. :(

Still my favorite class, but I just unlocked Shapeshifter and testing him out.

Unlocking new classes gives the game a lot of variety where it might otherwise get too repetitive.

Before the upgrade the game crashed mostly in the card select menue after longer gaming sessions. After the upgrade the game crashed 3 times in a row after about 20 minutes of playing and it happend in the card selecting menue. Newest ios on ipad air. 4 Gigs free.

I absolutly adore this game. Its has a great balance with the tiers to unlock. I went for the Artificer Class tier 3 in the loot upgrades. A very flexible character. Unlocked all loot to get the best boosts.

Yeah he's fun! Look at his deathwish trait too, he gets +2 health when fighting higher-level monsters. You can skip straight to L2 monsters with him and get better loot quicker :D

It's not super-clear in icon form, and it's the only card that does it, but it SETS your health to 6, no matter what it's at. So save it til you're about to die

Which iPad mini do you have? aka which year did you buy it? Would love to see a screenshot of a crash too, if it shows any error on screen

Same here- would love to see a screenshot if you get any crashes

We improved that in 1.1 which is live now. Traits pop out at the start of battle (to remind you if they are there), and tapping any trait shows the full info for all traits in the trait screen.

By the way, the Apprentice trait ('Starts with Fire 1') is a good intro to how skills stack. Equipment give you skill ranks, and skill ranks grant you cards. So if you have a cooking pot on your head which gives you fire 1 and nothing else you get the L1 fire card fireblast (2 magic damage) added to your deck. The apprentice always has fire 1, so they get that card added to their deck right away, and if you get them a cooking pot they immediately get to Fire 2 which gives the Flamelash card (2 magic damage at quick speed) which can win you fights you would otherwise lose.

Each skill has a card at levels 1-4 (the highest). The L4 cards are seriously strong so it pays to specialise!
You can see the different cards here:

Wait til you unlock the Jungle ;)

Hey guys I really enjoy this game. The crash after the boss fight before this patch wasn't a big thing for me. The problem which I have now that after the patch my save file seems corrupt, any ideas how to fix this or do I need to start again?

EDIT: now I installed the game again because I couldn't even start a new one, and even after the reinstall the failure persists. 0 at airfile/datasave() - problem solved, it's a very nice sad to have lost my savefile

Here's a question, I don't have much free time (I'm a dad to 2 young boys), which do you reckon should I dive into, this or Teeny Titans?

I would have liked to devote time to both but just can't spare the time to this, my kids, my wife and Oculus.

  10. They're two very different games. I think this one lends itself better to short play sessions, though.

I think it's also more complex, and feels more rewarding to me.

Loving the update. Thank you devs!

It's so nice to be able to draw cards and not have to worry about accidentally playing something when I scroll over to look at them.

A new issue cropped up for me with the update though- if my character is at the top of the screen on the dungeon map I can't see all of his/her text bubble. iphone 6 plus.

Neither of these behaviors is occurring as far as I can tell (but I also don't know what you mean by "trait screen". Furthermore, tap detection on enemy traits is completely broken (iPad 2).Mortimer you can tap the trait to see what it is, but then taps stop responding (the tap still registers, but nothing happens).

Also, multiple quest locations are remaining open after all quests are cleared, causing error 1009 at GuildState/OpenQuest()

It was to exclude devices that definitely wouldn't be able to run the game. Was 1.0 allowing ios 7? That was an oversight if so

Hey there. There's a bug in Adobe AIR which we haven't worked out how to get around yet. Basically it means you need to keep at least 400mb free on your device: if you clear up some space it should work again for you.

Both of those are for iphones not ipads, where the battle screen is redesigned and traits are hidden most of the time.

Are you on iPad 2 (2011) or iPad Air 2 (2014)?

D'oh. Sorry. iPad Air 2. Thanks for the clarification, I was going a little nuts trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.

Again, really enjoying this, and appreciate the quick attention to the minor issues.

Any real disadvantage to turning battle scars off? They often seem to make my guys weaker instead

Totally up to you. On average they are slightly more helpful than not though (there's a few good ones without drawbacks, but no bad ones without something good).
