Really silly question, but what makes the game so good? (I have it on my wishlist, and didn't buy it last week to my shame) I can spend a couple of bucks on games, and this is up (quite very up, if I may say so) my list. I like the type of game, and the style seems pretty good, so what kicks you off to play so much or to return to it? (just need 2-3 answers to make up my mind). And no... I have nothing against the developer answering his opinion too. PS: Kudos Gambrinous! Releasing a premium game in this time when everyone's going mostly Free2Play is a bold move. I really hope it works out for you good enough to have more content from you!
For me, I like that sessions are short and relatively stress-free. It feels kind of puzzly to me in that if I fail, no biggie -- I just try again with a different strategy. Maybe grind a bit to unlock a new room in the guild. There's no real consequences for death. I keep returning because (despite being a bit hard on the eyes on an iPhone), it feels made for mobile. I can pull it out whenever I feel like it without worrying that it's going to suck up two hours of my time. It's great for playing in bed.
Testing combinations (hero, equipment) against your available dungeons (you mostly have 2-3 new ones available) to beat the minions and eventually the boss. Every hero has it's own playstyle which is more or less unique to him. Combine this with the luck of card draws inside the battles and when you aquire new gear it can get easier/harder to beat a new dungeon. I have dungeons with 20 runs before I got to my goal but then it's so satisfying (yeah that's a rougelike). As a bonus the art of the game is somewhat special too and I like it pretty much [emoji4] Gesendet von meinem SM-N915FY mit Tapatalk
Thanks, guys, for the prompt replies, much appreciated. I like the sound of what you said, so I guess 4 bucks will go for this good game. Now if you'll excuse me, I will go press that Buy button.
Gambrinous, what is the team thinking in terms of the content schedule? I know Pirate's Cove is coming, but how soon? Also, Endless Mode?
I just had fun killing my first dungeoneer on the first quest, and I enjoyed it (was I supposed to? ). Love it, best game of last week for sure!
Gambrinous, can you have them check on the Battle Axe card (epic 3)? It says it gives blade 3, but appears to only give blade 1 (offered me blade 3, but not 4 on a character with blade 2 from scimitar already).
Don't you lose the Blade 2 from the scimitar? Thus you would be at Blade 3 as this replaces your blade 2 main hand weapon. Not even Dungeoneer's Ranger can dual wield ( as he reminds us constantly in the dungeon heh ).
Can't tell you the date yet, but will be announcing it shortly. The date itself is also not that far away. Sooooon! Then we are working on a new expansion and trophy trial (aka endless/challenge mode) but I'm not sure right now which one will be ready first.
Just a quick note - the Continue button is placed so close to the top of the main menu screen that half the time the Welcome Back Game Center notification covers it on the iPhone. As a result of timing, I open Game Center instead of continue half the time, because it shows up right then. Grumble.
I'm an idiot. Just realized what I had said and came back to edit the post, lol. Carry on, nothing to see here.
Just got a 1009 error "at tile/clearhighlightcache()" trying to enter the first dwarf dungeon for the first time.
Finished the campaign. So much fun. Looking forward to the new content. Now, what to do with all this gold...
Yep, I've played this game loads since it came out, and got the "1009 error" for the first time last night - also when entering the dwarf dungeon for the first time. I shut down a load of background apps in the cache, and haven't seen the error since. Not sure if the two are related, but it's worth a try. Must say, I love the artificer! Huge step up from the ranger as my go-to class.
