Become the ultimate Dungeon Master as you bribe, entice and coax your heroes through their adventures on a quest to restore your guild to its ultimate glory! Guild of Dungeoneering is a unique turn-based RPG with a twist: instead of controlling the hero, you build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks, you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot! Meanwhile your hero is making his own decisions on where to go and what to fight. But will he be strong enough to take on the dungeon's overlord? In between dungeon runs and card based battles, manage your Guild building new rooms to attract new classes of adventurer and to expand your decks of cards with more powerful items and events. Build up your Guild with new rooms to attract new classes of adventurer and collect powerful items and abilities. From lowly Chumps to renowned Cartomancers, you’ll need all the recruits you can get in this challenging rogue-like RPG where no two dungeons are ever the same. Lead your hero to battle with the dangerous dungeon overlord, where his skill will be put to the ultimate test - for the glory of your Guild! Guild of Dungeoneering will reward you for purchasing now by giving you all future content updates for FREE! As each content update is made, we may be charging a little bit more for the game. Our second expansion pack, Ice Cream Headaches, is now available! Quest through the snowy mountains, visit the ice cream monks and battle all new monsters like the Slushie Elemental and the Pygmy Mammoth. With 21 new quests, 30 new monsters and 3 new classes, it’s our biggest expansion yet! Ice Cream Headaches also introduces Favour, an all new gameplay mechanic which can aid in your quest’s success… or failure. Earn Favour by defeating monsters in rooms with a Rune of Fate, and spend your Favour to earn powerful card-manipulation effects. Use your Favour to draw extra cards in battle, or even remove weaker cards from your deck for the rest of the quest. All this plus our first expansion pack, Pirates Cove, is available now! Does not require an online connection to play. NOTE: Guild of Dungeoneering does NOT run on the iPad mini 1, iPad2, iPhone 4 or similar hardware. Features: • A turn-based RPG card game with a truck ton of personality, unique pen and paper visuals, catchy music and hilarious writing! • Take control of your fledgling group of heroes and lead them to victory! (after admitting to a few defeats of course) • Entice, coax and bribe your heroes to clear the dungeons you build by strategically placing rooms, monsters and loot from the cards you are dealt • Get to know each of your hero’s personality and traits, upgrade your existing heroes, and add new heroes while you try out new strategies to keep from sending them to their doom! • Manage your guild carefully and spend your hard earned ‘glory’ wisely to level up and unlock more rooms and equipment. Improving your guild means you'll have a better chance at beating the harder dungeons as you progress and take down the ultimate dungeon overlord. Is there carry-over progressions? I mean if the hero dies, you still keep everything you have for the next hero or on his revival (im assuming things, but mainly looking at the progression)? Im not really investing much into highscoring and starting again from scratch for the next attempt. Thanks for any answers Cheers! AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #8 AppUnwrapper, Jul 20, 2016 I'm still learning, but from what I can tell, the main goal is to clear a quest (your hero remains alive to continue other quests that way) and get as much gold as you can in a dungeon. Then you keep expanding your guild. I don't see any scores anywhere. The gold is what you use to give you a better chance of succeeding at each dungeon run. For instance, you can build a blacksmith to make some weapons that you'll then get to choose from in the dungeon. What happens is when you defeat a monster, you get to choose from a few pieces of equipment. Each piece might add different cards to your deck. The better your deck, the better your chance of surviving. There's still a lot of luck involved, but you can manage it by choosing stronger cards. And there are different classes, each one with different cards in their deck. (The Cat Burglar has a "Cat Nip" skill that stores attack points until you use the card "Throw Cat.") I'm still trying to understand how the path your Dungeoneer takes is decided. You seem to be able to control it by placing gold down on a nearby tile, but other than that it seems to be random? This is one of those games I really wish had iCloud. Because it's a bit small on my iPhone, but I still want to be able to take it with me on the go. Just kind of sucks that when I'm home I can't play on my iPad and save my poor eyes. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #9 metalcasket, Jul 20, 2016 Always irks me when games that sell for $15 bucks on Steam have to be sold for this price on iOS (don't get me wrong, iOS is the best when it comes to the consumer side of things), but I can't commend you (Gambrinous) enough for going the Rocketcat route and charging more for the app as more content is added. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #10 ojtitus, Jul 20, 2016 Awesome, glad to see this majestic beauty. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,725 974 113 #11 ste86uk, Jul 20, 2016 Looks awesome, downloading now : ) aconfusedkender Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2012 1,362 122 63 Oil & Gas Kendermore, Ansalon #12 aconfusedkender, Jul 20, 2016 Yeah as appunwrapper said. I'm confused on how to make my dude go down a certain path. I might have made something cool and want him to go left instead of where the blue feet are going. I'm sure it is by design but that seems weird. Maybe I'm missing something. In regards to that it probably keeps people from just circumventing all the enemies (but you need the XP for the boss) since it resets every dungeon I think. Either way fun game so far. As stated earlier. The music is absolutely amazing! The songs are fantastic and it sounds like they had a blast making them. Not many people. Steam may have a lot of sales and discounts but iOS is literally a race to the absolute bottom, usually .99, sometimes free. I know that's a really vague description but I can't find it in my purchased items to double check sorry. The point being I really fancy it but if it's anything like the aforementioned (well forgotten) game then I'm not sure I'm going to like it. spader623 Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 479 0 0 #16 spader623, Jul 20, 2016 Galactic keep? It's fairly different. From what I've heard and read about this, on steam at least, it's you kinda guiding an adventurer in a dungeon to complete a quest where you build the dungeon and also try to make sure the adventurer survives. I'm guessing it's a bit like hand of fate in the sense that you can't just put in nice cards or easy monsters, you also need to have 'problem' cards. drelbs Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2009 11,200 7 38 #17 drelbs, Jul 20, 2016 Guild of INSTABUYING!!! \/ bcredonk Well-Known Member Apr 8, 2014 74 0 0 #18 bcredonk, Jul 20, 2016 Purchased after watching some of appunwrappers gameplay video. If they built it in Unity, there's a giant memory footprint before you even start adding your own game code. Honestly I wish Apple would give developers more granular control over device blacklisting, but it's an inexact system at best. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
