Did anyone get the FINAL build with the storyline and John Gore in it? It's effing insane! I love it!
Yea its pretty freaking awesome. The beginning intro is epic. I'm trying to unlock all the achievements but I'm only like 70-75% of the way through.
Unfortunately, no It uses Crystal, but its not that bad. The interface could use some polish but overall its alright. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a screenshot or not..
It has Chillingo's new Crystal social networking system. Final build is fantastic! If I didn't need to get up for work in about 5 hours I'd be playing this thing all night!
There's 7 missions in the story mode, all are fairly lengthy. Depending on your performance, you get graded at the end of each level [A, B, C, etc] so you can keep playing till you achieve rank A in all levels. There's an Easy & Hard difficulty, and the survival is pretty damn fun. As you play through the story, you get 'x' number of points at the end of each level. At the end of the story, your cumulative score is totaled and submitted to the global leaderboard.
Well, I don't know if I could group GTA & GB in the same category..But needless to say, I don't see how anyone could possibly complain about this game. Awesome cutscenes, polished graphics, its simply an epic game.
It is similar to Minigore. In survival, you're in the desert, and you just keep running around killing as many people as possible. Occasionally you'll encounter a boss, whom after you kill him, he'll drop a weapon upgrade. The smaller guys drop medals [increase your score] and powerups [armor, speed, damage] I got to around 11.5 minutes, and it started to get hectic. If you need to be somewhere but don't want to lose your spot, it auto-saves [I believe] but if not, there's a save & quit option in the pause menu.
Well, Crystal is purely for Chillingo published apps I believe, while OF is for anything. So while more games will be released with Crystal, it won't be as widespread as OF. Currently there's only 2 other games with Crystal I think. I don't think GuerillaBob will be mad if I post some screenshots of the interface..
Correction - Crystal is free and for all developers. Plus, it's reskinnable for any game; that's some pretty cool background customization. And with that said, good night!
Oh really? I thought it was going to be Chillingo-based. Ah well, maybe it will become more widespread..
