That's righ, I forgot about he health. Yeah, he can steal from flying enemies and he can even steal GEMS! I was not expecting that. I'm still a ways away from the demon lord, trying to get the cards and legendary tiles.
Good lord, this game is sickeningly addictive! Just got past Spoiler Death , turned out to be a surprisingly trivial battle with Spoiler Death Block, Golem, Whirlwind and Stun.
Hi all, I have an update for the game crash issue and cannot play again on some devices. The bug fixed version is currently in App Store Approval Process. We will let you know as soon as the update is available. We're so happy that Guardian Sword is one of the nominees for Touch Arcade Forum's Game of The Week. Thank you everyone for nominating our game and thank you sapphire_neo for posting the reminder to vote for Guardian Sword on our thread.
I really feel like enemies that are close to 30 or 40 levels below you should automatically die when you walk into them. Traversing old locations looking for secrets becomes very tedious when you have to defeat encounters that consist of very low level enemies. Maybe it can be an expression of xp. If the xp gained from a battle is less than 5% of what you would get from the current level enemies then those enemies should die automatically.
Great. We may apply and do something similar to this idea such as if their level are too low, they won't appear on the map. Thank you for your feedback. We will add it in our next version.
Another suggestion is to allow for the cancellation of a move (before you release your finger of course) by simply swiping to the top of the screen instead of having to backtrack. I believe it was Fable Age that had this feature and it was incredibly useful.
You don't need to backtrack. Just swipe your finger right to the point you want or swipe right to the first point to cancel all selected tiles. But we will check out Fable Age for more ideas on this. Thank you very much.
Okay thanks. I will try a more casual backtrack but a flick upward has always seemed most efficient since you don't have to worry about any tiles at all.
Well officially stuck fighting the Kraken. Tried all strategies, none work. Kraken is blocking the path so can't grind to become stronger. Thai needs to be addressed especially when the "gem" requirement to continue is increasing after every death. Guess I need to restart the entire process, that sucks!
I panicked here, too. Then I changed my strategy. It'll be a long battle. You'll want the Protect Tile to stop Time Bomb. Sometimes you won't have one up, so you'll also need the Remove skill to take care of it. If you can, put up Four Shields tile as well, to make sure you can block. I also had one of the blocking skills, for emergency defence against his major attack. Finally, you want the standard "immunity" tiles against what the boss uses, which are stun resist tile and the sleep block tile. Then, go full on defence, only stopping to use the whirlwind skill between his attacks and regain MP. Eventually, you'll whittle him down. That's what I did, at least. Hopefully, you'll have similar success. Best of luck. Skills: Whirlwind Defensive block (magic or otherwise) Remove Tiles: Protect Four Shields Stun Block Sleep Block For reference, this is how I took down all the bosses in the game. Fight them, check their attacks, and their skills. Toss a smoke bomb, then equip the appropriate status blocks, with three defensive or strategy-type skills, and one major bomb attack.
I was thinking the same thing. Like they should run away from you! But what Zelda did was only repopulate a map with monsters if your killed all of them. You leave one off path and you don't have to sweat it.
That's true and I usually do that but sometimes with some diagonals near your starting point you think you are there, but with your finger blocking you can't see that you are not quite there! Then I let go and basically waste a turn and maybe lose some good tiles.
I just got all the cards. Those were some pretty epic boss fights. It's satisfying when you have a sound strategy because you still have to keep on your toes. I will say that transform is very very useful, especially when you have all the legendary tiles....fun to hold onto the 2x and 3x until he clone shows up... Getting the gnome is very very helpful...never have to buy any potions really, and he sometimes steals gems makes the grind easier for sure...there is a deal page that pops up only once for the gnome, samurai, and thunderbird for like 2 or 3 bucks and it's a great deal, especially since I got this game when it as free. Really nice to see the developers here in the forum. This game really is a pleasant surprise and you can count me in for a sequel. I thought at first the story was going to be awful but I think you guys have done really well, it's just a localization issue...and maybe font choice...I don't know if it would have made a difference in the review... Some people seem to be really struggling in the beginning but I had no problems, so I don't know what to say about that. I like that you don't bring on all the IAP pets and gems use until later, as well as the opener about IAP...I think these were some thoughtful design choices that earn my trust/respect.
I'm just continuously impressed by this game. The Spoiler Joint tile makes the whole thing suddenly so much more strategic!
it's true... in strategy it beats largely Hero Emblems, maybe it's closer to Glyph Quest series, but better imho
It's so nice that we got to know everyone here in this forum. You are really nice. Thank you for all feedbacks and very good suggestions. We'll keep in mind. Guardian Sword may not be a perfect game but we're still working to make it better. We're so happy that there're many people like our game and it means a lot to us. Thank you for supporting us.
