People look much more realistic (maybe used performance capture.) New locations. New missions. etc etc
I'm much more excited for GTA:III on the iPhone, Saints Row 3 and the possibility that Just Cause 3 will be released next year then I am about GTA:V. Even if I put my bias toward wacky fun over depressing realism aside I still hate Rockstar's control schemes. I find it hard to go back to the lock on targeting in the older GTAs after Saint's Row and the weird lock on targeting plus awkward free aim system in GTA:IV is unbearable.
Lol you really have a chip on your shoulder, don't you? As for GTA V. I was disappointed that Rockstar haven't advanced on the franchise. V seems just the same with a few improvements.
I just miss GTA and GTA 2. GTA 3 was cool cause, well it was a total transformation, but got old quick.... as did all of the other ones... which are all the same with complete different locations/storyline/whatever. The thing that just bugged me above all else though, is the RAGE engine really does hurt my head to use. LOL I mean you said yourself, judging from this trailer, they are going to stick with the tried and true "People will buy it no matter what" style. I am sure it's going to have a great story like the rest of them, but I would rather not fuss with the boring, and repetitive gameplay just to hear that (rather lengthy) story out.
I think he was talking about the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockstar_Advanced_Game_Engine
Thank you LBG, and yes Barca, I was talking about the engine that ran GTA IV and what not. I can't even play Red Dead Redemption because of this terrible schematic.
I like the trailer however I I also hope it's not going to be like GTA IV where it's really really realistic. Like I want it to go back to the fun roots GTA started out with.
This. Right now I'd rather be playing something along the lines of... Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Sure, it's not as sophisticated, but neither were Vice City or San Andreas. They were all about crazy, balls-to-the-wall sandbox fun. GTA IV and above seem to be taking this serious, cinematic and "realistic" tone, and it's boring!
that trailer made the game look fun as hell. so many wtf moments, hell yeah. i bet that game sells well. chris.
