The gameloft version looks better than this one. Not interested in a 2.5 d version even if it's 99 cents.
I feel like there's room for both CTW and Gangstar. If you love the open sandbox type games, both will probably offer their own unique experiences. Plus the gameplay is somewhat different, perspective wise, so I have to imagine that playing both games would be different enough as to make both feel unique. Why can there only be one game of this type? If you love them then you're gonna finish them quick, so isn't it good that there's more than one to play?
Is that your own personal score, or is that 6/10 from a particular review? Which one? I ask because every review of Gangstar I've seen has been very positive. (It's certainly well liked around these parts). The only people who should be interested in pitting Gangstar against Chinatown Wars are the accountants of the respective companies. I for one will be glad to have both games on my iPhone.
I think that's a safe bet. Rockstar's entrance to the app store could definitely open the floodgates, and we could very well see the birth of the rumored premium section.
Personal. If any of the reveiwers would have completed the game before writing the review, they would have agreed that almost every aspect of that game falls short.
20$ price looks fair to me. I am very happy to see Rockstar here, they always make good games and in all aspects, not only graphics like Gameloft
OMG OMG OMG... I just nearly wet myself not knowing that this would be true... Thank You so much Rockstar, I have every friggin game ever made by you guys (thats right even smugglers run) I cannot wait as i sold my DS and still have the cartridge for this game lol, now I can have it for the iPod Touch... I love Rockstar..
That's a bit presumptuous, isn't it? Couldn't it be that they simply disagree with your assessment? "Falls short" is a pretty subjective call.
I think the same, is a good achievement to create that game but then is not that good, only the graphics and the city Hodapp he talks about Gangstar
He was replying to me -- I asked him where he got the 6/10 score for Gangstar. Sorry to go off-topic; I just find the typical "my opinion trumps everyone else's opinion" forum attitude a bit annoying.
Well, would you say there are adequate and addicting side missions to keep you from sweeping through the story, or to keep you occupied after completeing the story? Does the scope depth of the sniper rifle make you wanna snipe someone? Does the variety of the missions make any one of them stand out? Are there enough secrets around the city to make you keep searching? I'd give it worse than 6/10 if it were my choice, but there are a lot of people out there that'll like a game because it's 3-d
