Well if you think the iPod Touch is a 'rubbish gaming device' then why are you even on these forums? Incase you hadn't noticed, this site is about iPod Touch/iPhone games. All you ever seem to do on this site is write about how much the iPhone/iPod touch sucks at gaming - I see it in loads of your posts. Seriously, If you hate iPod Touch games so much the do yourself and everyone else a favour and move onto Sony or Nintendo forums.

Freaken idiots on this forum seriously... Look, the PSP is a good device, just like the iPod Touch. Jeez, I mean there's some ups and downs. The graphics for the PSP are better than the iPod Touch (very true), if you take a look at some info online. The hardware depends also, iPod with it's touchscreen and the PSP with it's gaming and such. I mean come on, seriously, i thought this thread was about GTA for the iphone.
i'd take that bet. in fact, i think the whole point of delaying the game long past the psp's launch of the title is rockstar's means of justifying a 20 dollar or less pricetag.
Actually, I'll happily pay $20 for this game. Rockstar is probably porting all (or most) of the features from the DS or PSP version over, and I think it's worth it. On the PSP or DS this costs over $30, and we're grumbling over $20 for a good game. Lol.
I hope so, because the $10 per 1/4 total episode pricing structure somebody mentioned back there scared me.

people please quit it with the psp vs iphone. Graphically the psp is much better than the iphone. That's just the way it is. Where psp fails is internet browsing, media handling, comic book reading and about everything else you can think of. But in the game department it's top notch. I must confess though that even though I have a psp and a ds I don't play them at all ever since the flood of the games on the iphone. But that doesn't mean iphone games are better. Rolando is a ripoff of locoroco. And have you actually seen that game? It's really beautiful with amazing art direction!! Tekken rips appart the blades of fury. They're not even in the same ballpark. Even the lousiest racing game of the psp is visually more stunning than real racing. Ridge racer which is a 4-5 year old game on the psp has better- actually jaw dropping- graphics than real racing. The same goes for modern combat. I've enjoyed every single one of the games you mentioned above (except maybe blades of fury) but common give it a rest. The iphone is a well rounded piece of hardware. I'm doing everything I want to do from adventure gaming to drawing and I'm very happy about it. But at the same time I do realise that graphically the psp is superior to the iphone.
The iPhone does not have many big, big teams of developers with large production values. The PSP does. They can afford a good game engine, most iPhone developers are small groups just starting out (open development...) If you've seen some tech demos of the iPhone 3GS, you could automatically realize the 3GS is definitely capable of graphics better than the PSP. Look at Adrenaline Golf Online, that is optimized for 3GS visuals, kinda runs a little slow, but it looks great. Not many developers have the money to purchase a good game engine, so you can't really say the PSP is graphically superior.
Lets face it.FPS and racing games suck on psp.psp controls are horrible for both.gran turismo psp has amazing gfx but i hate playing that game because of the controls.Real racing is so much fun even though gfx is nowhere near as good as GT psp.The same goes for FPS games.Before modern combat FPS games on iphone sucked big time.But MC has better controls than any psp game.It's so much easier than just to control using psp controls.But ya apart from MC and maybe eliminate all other fps such big time. ya games such as soul caliber blow away blades of furn and for such games psp is great. Also when i am on the move i don't need a inferior lookin distant cousin of a console game which is what most psp games are?? Why would i play a gfx inferior version of a game i just played on a ps3 ?? The strength of iphone is that there are a lot of really cheap innovative good quality games coming out every month which i can play on the go for a few minutes just to kill time and be done with that game and move on to the next one.These games aren't inferior versions of games i already have on my console but offer an entirely different experience.That's what i am lookin for.
I would safely say that Gameloft has the money to throw quite a few artists and programmers together for a single project. If the iphone would restart ala psp so it could give all the resources just for the game than it would probably be able to get closer to psp standards but even then I think psp would beat it. I think I've seen somewhere that the psp can push more polygons and also has a bigger fill rate. The same goes for antialising. kugi_ugi I have no idea what you just said! I agree with beetle. There are some really innovative game for the iphone and I think that's what developers need to invest on. Eliss for example is a game you just can't find anywhere else. The same goes for other games but this is the first one that popped in to my head

This is the truth for sure. A better comparison would be the iPhone and the DS because its more of a casual gaming platform, but thats another thread. Anyway, I recommend the PSP to the minority, hardcore gamers and the iPod Touch to the majority, casual gamers. The iPod Touch can capture gamers like my 65 year old mother and father in law and my wife, whom I couldn't push the DS on to save my life, but it doesn't have the cash and dev muscle that the PSP has regardless of hardware. IMO, the PSP sucks nuts because there are less then a handful of original titles that are great since the damn thing came out and the rest are mediocre games or ports. Sony really missed the boat developing only a piss trickle of in house original titles for the system. Had they started developing for the system back when it was released this list would be twice as long and there might be more than 2 or 3 original IPs for the platform. ps thats an average of less than 2 9/10+ rated titles a year.
