In a way, yes. But it's a bit different than to down. It's quite like Payback with it's 3/4 view. It does look like the original GTAs, but plays like the newer ones. It's quite a lovely mixture. I'm definitely looking forward to this.

I actually posted that last page. You had me thinking that this was a newer trailer, but thanks anyway. It's really awesome that the PSP version lets you fly helicopters. I really hope that's all in the iPhone version too.
A bit of a confession (if I haven't already done so): I own the DS version. I will buy the PSP version. And I will most likely buy the iPhone/touch version as well. Usually multiplatform games do not have many differences, and as such the key is to pick the best running version and stick with that one, but in this case I think each version will have a certain unique properties that make 'em all, at the very least, worth playing.

Yeah, I know. I'm sick of this only being advertised on the PSP or PSP Go. Same with Beaterator! All they do is advertise it for the PSP, when that would work WAY better on the iPhone/iPod Touch. They should probably advertise MORE for our platform. The majority of PSP gamers pride the PSP because of it's 3D console-esque graphics, and will probably not pick these games up too much.
Haha your funny, advertising for the rising star platform... Why would rockstar do that when they have made so much money off of the psp, and the psp owners don't pride themselves on the console-esque graphics, most of them actually pride ourselves on the community. The homebrew community created games that didn't have console-esque graphics. Beaterator maybe they could advertise for both equally, but gta... Not really, I understand them advertising for psp mainly. Well just wait till next week, should be coming out next week, or the week after. Not too long if a wait.
Advertising for a "rising star" seems better than advertising for an "exploding nova". I dunno. I just hear that the Go is going to flop. Rockstar made much money off of the PSP for making the console-esque graphics games. And I never said how PSP owners pride themselves. I said how PSP owners pride the PSP. And I don't believe what you said at all. If they didn't pride the PSP for graphics, what else could they pride it for? "Innovative" gameplay? That little microphone looking analogue stick? The shape and feel of the UMDs? The so called "upgrades" of each model? Or could it even be the PSP nut/cheese commercials? Except for that last one I mentioned, I don't see any of the other possibilities I listed as what people love most about the PSP. If people didn't care about graphics, they would probably gravitate towards the DS instead. Most Youtube comments I see about the PSP version of Chinatown Wars are PSP players complaining about the game's graphics not being as good as LCS and VCS. And every PSP fan boy who ever logged into TouchArcade made an "iPhone vs. PSP" thread saying that the PSP was better because of the graphics. I slightly disagree on those. Sure, they may have higher prices on the PSP, which would give Rockstar some more money, but I think that Beaterator would be better with a touch screen interface, and I'd personally rather see Chinatown Wars' touch screen minigames being played on a touch screen. Those may just be my opinions but they are very valid..... In my opinion... I at least think they should have advertised the two games a little more for the iPhone/iPod Touch. But you're right that it's coming soon. I think they'll be out before November.
lol nice comeback, but may I say the one thing... The psp homebrew community is over 3 million psp owners in the first year, don't know nber now... there is over 12 different communities, and contests that are held yearly just for homebrew. I think that most people that were in the community have probably left, and think about it like this, the psp has more popularity in games. I'm not talking about the go rift now, just the psp in general. So when people see it coming to the psp, in general they expect it to be better than the other versions, and don't forget where rockstar began, rockdtr has done quite a bit for Sony, alot more than what they have done for other companies as of now.
Ahh, that makes sense. I guess there would be a lot of people who played the original GTA 1&2 for the PSOne and would love to play Chinatown Wars. Probably most of those comments on Youtube were from little kids who only played GTA 3 or higher. And the PSP version probably should be the best because of Rockstar's Sony loyalty, but I do wish our version will be similar to the PSP version, because I really want to fly helicopters and have epic helicopter battles. I wouldn't mind buying a PSP myself, if I had enough money for games and if the hardware were actually better. It doesn't seem like the models get better than the PSP 1000.
No... I don't think they get better, only smaller. Well rockstar has always kept their word, so I trust them when they say that the itouch is very similar to psp, only difference is downsized graphics. I believe them, and I believe that this will be epic. I still miss my psp1000, I use to HEN(Homebrew ENable) everyones psp. But I enjoy having my itouch, and having my HEN psp slim, and having cheatdevice for gta. It's so fun playing gta when everythings modified, look it up when you get the chance. Hope someone can make that for gta cw itouch.
Can't rockstar give us atleast one screen shot of this for the iPod, they are making it look like they haven't even started making this mad gta game for the iPod and iPhone.
They have, just look at the psp screenshots, and add a virtual joystick and a shoot button... And lower the texture resolutions a bit. Basically it's going to look the same, the only difference will be HUD.
