You folks need to look at the game they are porting. It isn't 3D and there is no need for a dual stick control system. It is a pretty simple top-down game.

You should think a little bit more about my comment. Ofcourse I looked at the game or else I wouldn't comment here. All good top down shooters I know in the appstore use dual sticks, they do that because you can handle aiming (shooting left or right) and straving. 1 stick is for walking in a direction the other for aiming in a direction.

If you use 1 stick you can have some kind of auto lock system then you can strave but that I really hate. If you think 1 stick is enough and don't have and auto lock system then how do you expect to hit people?

I wonder why they are giving it to this system last? I know that the iPod Touch/iPhone isn't that popular yet, but seriously!

GTA CW for the DS: An adult game sold to a platform mainly for children
GTA CW for the PSP: A top down GTA game for all those really picky douche bags who would rather get LCS or VCS because of the third person view and "better graphics"
GTA CW for the iPod Touch: A perfect mixture of mini game elements and full game elements that iGamers love.

I personally believe more copies could sell on this device than on the others. I just hope that Rockstar gives it really good controls. They never made an iPhone game before, but if they learn some from the controls of Gangstar and Payback (and add a separate stick for drive by shooting) it's going to be pretty beast.

Like the other person just said, this is a port from the DS game. The DS game didn't use those controls, so why would this one?

It IS 3D, just from a weird camera angle.

Well, the DS has seven buttons for playing games (counting the D pad and excluding the start and select) plus touch screen and stylus.

I believe Rockstar should go with the duel stick idea. Left stick for walking (tap twice and hold the second time to run [if running is doable in that game]) and right for the camera (tap twice and/or hold to shoot). They could do the same for in a vehicle and even add the option to allow accelerometer steering that works like it did in Payback.

I just hope Rockstar keep in mind that this has the potential to become the best iDevice game.

Lets hope that, and not just selling their game.. GTA on Sony's platforms never disappointed me, but I couldn't play 10 minutes GTA on the GBA.. NDS is OK but not that fantastic.. Hope we'll get an in-game trailer SOON!

Or at least some screenshots. I really hope this game has something like the PSP versions graphics. They're very GTA IV-like.

It can't be more. Isn't $10 the max price for a game? That premium app store thing isn't gonna happen

There isn't a max price. Developers can price their apps at any given price. I can't remember off the top of my head, but there are a few examples of crap that devs have priced over $10.

There is one game called iFruits or something like that on the appstore for $29.99. It's just a matching puzzle game, for Pete's sake!
