GTA iphone finally confirmed

o dang! great news!

 

lol yes I know that... I am a friggin huge rockstar fan, i did not know they announced that (how can they when the game isnt out), but i know they wont have much trouble getting through the approval system. Apple wants the publicity of having a high end dev going to the iphone... Oh and they never said the game would have more than the ds version, they said it would be close to the psp, which in turn has more than the ds version in terms of content, their adding new missions, new cars and such. But gameplay wise their generally the same.

 

I never knew that Rockstar said that they had already got approval for this. That's great news!

 

Can't wait to see the screenshots.. Hope the GFX on the 3GS will come close to the PSP's..

 

So is gonna come out this month?

Yeah there's more of a chance of it coming out in October, maybe even November. The reason is that they've announced the PSP version before the iPhone/iTouch, and the PSP version is coming out in October.

Ah, so I'd expect the game to come out after the PSP version, which means after the 20th of October or anytime in November.

 

Or maybe they just don't want the date known because they are releasing it at the apple media event.

 

I doubt that, but wouldn't be too surprised if Apple invited them along to show it off alongside the new touch.

Anyway, here's a couple of previews of the PSP version from Kotaku and 1up.com. Sounds like Rockstar did a pretty good job on the port, lets hope the same can be said of the iPhone version.

arent all three of us pushing full 3d thing... well its good to know gta lives on in all of us... GTA gets all the good in me and portrays it in a game, im so nice in gta i beat up criminals to help the cops... and then beat up the cops since they beat up the criminal... I like to get revenge for everyone so i always go rampaging, since everyone i kill is hated by someone else... see how good i am I help those who help themselves help others... kind of

GTA is great, and I have been waiting for an iPhone GTA forever.
