    Quick, hard question...
How does GT Racing 2 compares to RR3 or 2kDrive?

I would say it leans more towards arcade style than either of those two. I like all 3, but my favorite is still RR3.. I think it's that the handling is more predictable in RR3, I find with this and 2K drive it's a bit hit and miss. This is a lot of fun, but I don't keep coming back the same way as I do for RR3.

Well, this sucks. Finally fully beefed up the Platinum series car, won my last two races (but the last one took 10 minutes), and while I was racing the time for the competition ended! So I won the car and lost it all at the same time. Unfortunately, I wasted a bunch of cash at the end trying to get the last couple of races. Now I see the car is available for 1970 cash (the year I was born, go figure!). Will take a while to get that - though I did use the coins and cash from this series to help me get the remainder of the cars for Tier 1, and completed that 100%.

Gameloft ryan, if you are still reading this thread please tell the dev guys that they need to crank up the earnings starting from tier 3!
Payouts per race/win are rediculous low compared to the extremely high costs of the upgrade parts.
    or lower the upgrade cost.
An average car on tier 3 cost about 700.000/800.000 fully upgraded and winning a race in tier 3 nets you between 3000 and 5000!
    You can do the math.

That sounds annoying, the timer should pause when you start the event to stop that kind of thing in the future, I know Sonic Dash does that so you don't miss out on the daily reward if you start it just before the new day begins.

Earnings for ther 4 and above do need a small bump up, right now some events pay out nice for doing a 30 second race while some 3 lap challenges pay you less! IMO the pay should be worked out on race distance and class level so that longer harder races pay out more then early shorter ones.

I do come back to GTR2 often, but then I already finished RR3 version 1.1.2, and I am not motivated enough to complete the other updates because of the prohibitive gold coin IAPs.

GTR2 is very similar in structure and physics are good too. But the game second currency seems much more balanced than Gold coins in RR3. (So I bought IAP in GTR2, something I could never convince myself to do in RR3). GTR2 also offers Multiplayer and weekly challenges with prizes, leaderboards and teams, something RR3 lacks.

Something unique so far for RR3 is the community that built around the first 2 versions of the games and that still existed until FM shut down their forums (you can find them now at myrealracing.com). This kind of community forum would be nice for GTR2.

2kdrive is enjoyable too! very tough control of the cars (not necessarily a bad thing), but the position of controls is awkward on ipad (too low).

Right now, I don't go back to RR3 nor 2kDrive, I spend every minute I can on GTR2.

What car did it reward? I wasn't able to get on to finish the last 2 races. I thought it was only a trophy awarded?

The Renault Megane Trophy car - it is a tier five car, worth quite a lot of bucks.

    I can't drive RWD!

I am driving a series 1 BMW, upgraded up to level 3. Whatever i do i always end up drifting... That's annoying. If I break earlier I slow down too much and it takes longer to rebuild my speed.

The best I have found so far is to either pump the brake or the gas pedal when I feel I am drifting. But I can't do that consistently yet.

Also, I find it hard to control the car when it's loosing control and the tires are not making a drifting sound... So you realize too late you're drifting.

    Is it just me?

RWD is a bit iffy in this game, the way I drive them is not to accel at all until my car is pointing straight. The rear grip is rather low though when the AI can turn a corner twice as fast as yourself in the same vehicle, but then that is game AI for you.

Of course I'm still reading the thread :) I think you've mentioned this before in the thread (?) or someone else has and I've made a note of it!

Nothing new as of right now. We want to use the soft launch to tune the game as best as we can before launching it WW. We think it's the best way to utilize a soft launch and give players a great experience. :D

I know that it was mentioned before, but the handling of the Megane that was the Platinum series prize is terrible, it's like it won't straighten up if you keep accelerating immediately out of corners, you have to back off, which the other cars don't and all that ends up happening is you get absolutely creamed by the competition cause you are too slow through the turns...or you keep the speed up and end up weaving all over the place, cause the car won't straighten up naturally. The handling model in this game needs to be addressed, it's a bit off at present, in my opinion.

I'm sure that the Dev team will see this and they will be tweaking things, similar to this, throughout the soft launch.

I'm definitely passing stuff along but I've been told they are visiting this thread during the soft launch and paying close attention to it.

That's definitely why I encourage you all to talk about the issues you notice in the game, it's definitely for everyone's benefit!
