The Development team is keeping an eye on the payouts and will be balancing things they feel need tweaking. I can't say why you are netting higher pay and XP gains from a lower tier race, but I'm sure it's something they are working on! I don't know if they will be adding that type of feature before the WW launch but I imagine there could be some tweaks to multiplayer, challenges and leaderboards.
I'm having a blast witth this game currently, but I don't want it to break to pieces like Asphalt 8 (sorry I can't really get away with the grinding).. I trust you Ryan.
I would say that there is a bit of a grind going on in the game but if you start buying higher tier cars the payment for racing is a little better, a lot of cash does get taken up tuning cars. I find it's a bit like the original gran turismo, you replay events for prize money now and again as doing each event once never pays enough, I find the grind worse in Asphalt 8 myself.
Not in it's current state! Tier 3 cars payment for racing is lesser than tier 2 cars like i mentioned before. I'm sure this will be sorted out but for now don't buy a higher tier car just thinking you will gain more money.
Tier 4 is better at least I skipped tier 3 after trying the subaru but rolling back my save which I used the cloud save to my ipad before buying it. There is an overtake tier 2 race which will net you about 2600 every minute if you keep repeating it, it's not the ideal way to progress but you can net some money doing that. In Tier 4 there is a qualify time race which takes just over a minute and gives you about 4200, this is a lot better if you use the cash reward boost with it too.
Why would i do that if i can do a 20 second run in tier 2 that gives me 6800 cash Or are you talking about XP?
Which car or group is that reward under? it's probably one I don't have yet. I mean cash not xp. Anyway I think it also comes down to how you play games, we all must have picked different starter cars and I guess some events are paying more then others in the early stages. *edit* I was clearing my friends list on game center and I may have deleted some people from here by mistake, if I have just send another friend invite, sorry!
Yes, but to enter you need to but the Megane RS at $125 000 (discounted from $190 000). To be honest I am finding this game more grindy than RR3, and I'm not enjoying the racing as much... It's the boost system for races, you spend more in boosts than you get back a lot of the time. I have been stuck on $100 000 for ages cause I don't want to throw 25 000 at one upgrade and still have to pay 3000 in boosts to then maybe win 3000 - 5000 back. I'm still relatively early in the game and it might get better in the latter tiers, although from what I've seen I don't think so. Just my opinion don't shoot me .
I hate any kind of boost you can pay to use in games which adjust your phyisical speed or power, paying to double your reward or a better place on the grid I can deal with, paying for better top speed and accel is something I really dislike but I have not had to use it much yet, I always try to tune my cars up to full before I dip into those boosters. The worst booster IMO is the grip one, just from using a friend you turn your car into a go-kart and can just power into every corner at speed, ruins it all. All these boosts also ruin any pure efforts of a legit time trial or lap times in the game.
Nobody will shoot anyone, this is good feedback and will help the Devs figure out how to balance the costs of cars, upgrades and boosts. Interesting thoughts on the grip booster, I've never used it so I'll have to check it out and see how strong it is.
Well it's not exactly that strong but you do get a huge boost of grip, using higher level friends makes the grip better btw so try it with someone level 40+ if you can. It's most likely way too late to change but a good way to boost performance with a penalty is to have engine wear, make the car's turbo push more BHP but wear the engine down faster, Sega GT 2 did this on the xbox and it was a good balance for short - long races. But then all car tweaks are removed from GT racing 2 so where would it fit in?
Yeah, I'm not sure about such a drastic change or an introduction of this type of system at this point in the game. However, I'm not sure what the Development team's future plans for this game are, so who knows. Like I mentioned earlier, the Dev team has told me they are watching this thread to get community feedback so it's good you posted it and asked the question!
Want to leave some feedback on the current plat event, so far I really enjoy it and the longer races it has, 3 laps lasting 5 minutes feels a lot better then 1 lap where you want to overtake everyone in the first few corners. Also it's great to know that cars can go on sale with a notice, I would have never bought the current event car this early if not for that and I like driving it.
Same, it's a nice car to drive, need to manage your accel out of corners more then the supra but then the renault is a higher class
I figured out what happened by accident when I put my finger down unintentionally on the double star boost then played the race anyway. It gave me six stars towards that series total, and I remembered I had chosen all the boosts once before to get the achievement. Though I had all the number of stars for another series, there was one race I did not three star. Did that now and I got the reward.
