So has anyone won the Clio in the platinum series? How the heck can you get the 1:55 on the Heimstrecke qualifier.. Best I get with an almost maxed out upgrade plus boosts is a 2:02... Same with the top speed oval... Best so far is 7th... Any tips to 3 star would be appreciated. They are the only two I can't get.. Grrr

    Got the Clio IV RS!!!
@GPS: heimstrecke qualifier and top speed oval were indeed the hardest!
I did it with maxed out upgrades, 2x speed boost and 2x acceleration boost.

Try putting your iPhone in Air Plane mode during one race and see if you still get the crashes.

I've recently passed information along to the GTR2 Team about the crash issues so hopefully they'll delve into it and see if it is in fact a Game Center issue or if it's something on our end :)

I thought that the final platinum day was rather simple, the speed ring was easy enough you just had to make sure you kept a clean line to carry speed in each corner, the other two events felt basic enough, but it's good that the race was 4 laps long, 1 lap races feel way too short in this game.

Not driven the new car yet as it seems rather slow untuned so working on upgrades right now, looks like it should be good for tracks with lots of turns.

  7. When's the US launchdate for this game?

    Nobody knows exept gameloft.
I'm having a blast with this, even more than RR3!
It's more a gran turismo style of game with better car handling and no static opponents that just follow the ideal line like in RR3. They even crash into eachother and go wide into the gravel and stuff!
And the best part is: you can keep on racing! No repair waiting crap like RR3
    Absolutely love it!

Gameloft, if this goes way too far that its already pushing you through IAP in the middle progress just like Asphalt 8..

Just promise me there won't be any tremendous grinding, huh Ryan?

This game becomes a LOT better when you get to tier 3 and above cars, that's when you have to start playing nice with the throttle.

My Toyota Supra, even as stock, is a beast and I love it.

Gameloft Ryan, can you ask if regular time trials can be added in? so I can challenge my friends's best lap times outside of a 2 lap race and such.

As for earning in game credits there are a few races you can complete in 20 seconds which net you thousands, making the most out of them before they get nerfed :p

Been alright here, tried rebooting the device?

There is some stuff missing from this version of GT racing that I kind of miss and that is the tweaking of car settings the first game originally had, like brake balance and adjusting the center of mass, all those kind of things are ignored in this game, well I say ignored but they still effect the cars while racing, you just can't adjust them.

When you buy a car for a tier you can do that tier race set, but the supra only races are still locked (and I don't want to pay cash to unlock them)

I saved up a lot of my winnings to buy a tier 3 but thought f-that, supra is an awesome can and I want it now. :p

First off, hey guys/gals I'm back! Sorry was MIA for a little, we had a set of day long meetings that I was busy with but I'm good for the rest of the day besides the weekly stream this afternoon!

No idea on the official worldwide launch date at the moment. Lots of information is being gathered during this soft launch and the Dev team is monitoring community feedback to implement changes.

Just like I said in the Asphalt 8 thread, I really don't think this game features any intense grinding at all. However, I won't know what you think until you play it because your definition of grinding could be different than mine. Needless to say, I'm still having fun playing it :)

What do you mean by "regular time trials," do you mean like races that are longer than 2 laps? I'd be happy to ask but I'd just like to make sure I fully understand your question!

Maybe it's the way I've played this but I am starting to find it a bit grindy. I have two tier one cars, and the Clio RS in tier two. I find the game a bit 2 steps backward for one step forward... The boosts are sucking up my money, I spend about 3000 a race to keep up , and win about 1000 less on average than what I spent on boosts. I'm at $99 000 and 78 gold. I would love to unlock tier 3 but I don't want to spend all my cash, I would love to upgrade the tier 2 Clio, but I don't want to spend all my cash( upgrades are expensive.. $21 000 for level one of the level 2 upgrades)..

Gameloft_Ryan why do i earn more money and more XP with a tier 2 car than with a tier 3 car??
    Example:
Tier 2 mini cooper coupé fully upgraded, racing "overtake" on laguna seca gives me 1300 xp and 6800 coins.
Tier 3 audi TT RS coupé fully upgraded, also racing "overtake" on laguna seca only gives me 900 XP and 3500 coins!!!
Both are driven in the multi-car challenge bracket.
    Where's the logic in that?
The audi fully upgraded costed me about 4x the price of the mini cooper fully upgraded....so i now wasted more than 1 million on a car just to earn a lot less?
I hope this is a mistake and gets fixed asap.

The scaling of rewards also seems to matter on how far into a group you are, such as the first few events in a group are usually beatable without a tuned car and pay less, but the last few races are harder/faster but pay more.

It's by no means balanced though, one tier 4 event gives you 2:30 to complete a time attack which you can do in 1 minute, the AI even says that they take up to 2 minutes to complete the lap, it must be an error but it also shows that the downloaded times from other racers is all fake and canned.

Most racing games usually allow you to pick a car/class, pick a circuit and then race as many laps as you want trying to go as fast as possible and get good lap times.

If GT Racing 2 had something like this I guess it could be as many laps as the user wants but don't give out any payment reward, it's just there to improve lap times against friends.

Saying that, there is no leaderboards for times anywhere, only on the loading screen showing your friends?

I think i'm gonna put it aside until gameloft sorts everything out.
Netting only a couple thousand per race when cars are starting to cost millions isn't fun.
