Yeah, I had issue with that. Very hard. Doable, but another difficulty spike (like qualifications) that felt out of place. I spent a lot to get past that one.
No I wasn't aware of this issue, I actually play the game with just the in-game music on. My only guess is that having the sound like that is to simulate being inside a racing car?
Thanks again Ryan. I also mentioned an earlier post that the cockpit view does not have a speedometer in the overhead display. It's kinda difficult to know how fast I'm hitting a turn sometimes. Can the devs please add this to the cockpit overhead display? Thanks!!
Now that my ipad air's screen has cracked under the intense pressure of holding an ipad air I've had to play this on my iPhone 5 and I now have the vanishing Platinum series bug. If I uninstall reinstall it is back but only until the next play session when it is go and I need to reinstall it. It might only take a few minutes but it is not ideal. Any ideas on the time frame for the next update, Ryan? All the best.
Just paused a race at lake Como and got this camera view, cool! Couldn't replicate it again though...
Hmm, I must try that. Pausing has always allowed me look around the car and pan out a bit but never that far. It is pretty cool.
I've never understood why they don't add an option to view a replay.. They play it behind the table at the end of the race but the visuals are so good why not let us clear the table out of the way and watch?
No firm ETA yet but I've been told it's coming soon and it will address the Platinum Series bug. If I get a heads up from the team once the update has been approved by Apple I should be able to give you all a day or two of notice.

Hi Ryan, sorry if this is gettin old, but the bug which intermittently loses the Platinum series is really becoming a frustration. I have spent much cash and credits over the past couple of days on getting stars through this event. I really want the Casillac, but since last night (Aus time) I cannot access the remaining events! How am I supposed to get an opportunity to win the car, when I can't complete the series? Thanks

To avoid the frustration you are having I have just avoided the platinum series all together until they say it's fixed. It was really tough during the Hemi Cuda series because that's one of the top five cars I looked forward to owning when the game went live. No telling when it will be available again. That's the real frustration for me, missing it all together.
I've done the same. I don't even open the app anymore. It's just too frustrating. I love the game. One of my all time favorite ios games. That said, if there is no update soon, I'm just going to delete it. Great game, pisspoor execution.
The update that fixes the Platinum Series is coming. For the time being, if it's causing you to lose money, I would just avoid it. I'm sorry that the feature isn't working reliably currently, but the feedback from this thread has helped address the issue. I'll try pushing for an ETA on when the update might hit again, but so far I've had no luck getting a time frame.
I get the vanishing platinum bug on my iphone but not my ipad. On my iphone I found deleting the game and re installing it made the platinum series re appear temporarily: just long enough to complete the races. Not ideal but it worked for me. Hope that helps.
The fix is coming in the next update. The update hasn't been announced (date for release) yet because the team is still working on some other things that need to be addressed or added. Once I get a time frame, I'll be sure to share it.
