Just noticed one error of sorts in the game: I finished the Compact series (tier 1) with 100%, and am current racing through tier 3 (with the renault megane rs). It shows the next reward for "Compact 5%", though that series has been completed.

Ryan, i dont have much to say about the game, its splendid on my 5s, it runs almost at 60fps, i can tell by just playing it.
However i have two requests, if you could move 'em to the dev team:

    - the external camera doesnt follow the car thru the bends. The current state basically makes the player watch the side of the car, thus cutting out the whole view.
In case of hairpins or narrow bends, its impossible to actually turn correctly. A third view perspective like the 2nd one in Asphalt 8 would be much better.

    - please implement a Hood camera. Every game simulator has one!

    Thanks alot

I agree - i've noticed in some places that because of the camera switch on some corners, the car takes it very roughly; whereas the same corner with a different camera angle goes smoothly. Don't know how to describe it, but it's like tackling a corner with little control, even though you may be completely following the driving line.

Can you link either a picture or video example of what you think is a good rendition of this viewpoint? I'd like to check it out and have something to pass along or let the Devs see by browsing the thread.

Aaaand GPS nailed it. This is the hood cam, which is needed imho in any driving simulator. This view is a perfect example.

As for the "correct" external view, just take a look at this asphalt 8 screenshot i just did.

This is the 2nd external view, see how much "side" of the car you see when turning. Thats the correct view for the external, for those like me who love to drive looking at the car!

Yeah turning sharply in GT racing 2 shows you too much of the side of the car, it's hard to come out of a sharp turn on the apex because you can't see the corner correctly.

It works fine if say the car crashed and was on the grass or you skid out on sand, but turning a corner while racing it's in the way, I just deal with it right now.

Wow. The rear wheel drive handling is not good! You cannot keep your speed through corners at all like the AI vehicles. If you accelerate too early you get speared off the track in the direction you are turning and there doesn't seem to be decent over correction. Sorry to reference Ryan, but the Dev team need to run some laps with RR3 and check out the handling characteristics there( in my opinion they set the bar for accessible handling on iOS.. Yes 2K drive is good, but my preference is RR3). I don't think Ill be winning the Seat this event.. I just can't get a grip with the handling this time.. I shall keep trying though.

The car you have to race in the Platinum series with works great if you've upgraded it. I finished the Tier 1 races the other day so had that car almost fully upgraded already.

Even fully upgraded, I had trouble completing the first stage of events. But with a friends boost to 1.67G, it drive pretty nicely.

I have the same problem with the Series 1 BMW. It's not fully upgraded yet, I am getting used to it more and more, but RWD is still pretty slippy on the track.

The most annoying part is that the AI does not seem to be affected by this at all.

I've noticed that the Platinum series' (especially this one) need you to have maxed out cars AND plenty of boosts. I can't even finish the first section of this series without boosts, and my car is maxed. In this case, I don't think its the car's performance, but the seriously ramped up ai.

They sure did ramp up the AI in the platinum series.
It looks like the AI cars stick to the track like glue in corners just like F1 cars, while my car (fully upgraded)is sliding with the front wheels all over the place!!

I agree. I've had to use brake, handling and grid position boosts for the first time, just to be competitive. All that on a fully upgraded car. Seems like some serious tweaking needs to be done on RWD cars.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback guys. It's good to have examples like this so the Devs can see what you're talking about.

As usual, can't make any promises but I'm happy to pass it along!

I think it's just the AI being AI and taking corners better then we can in RWD cars, it feels the same with other RWD cars in other races too.

Either the Rear drive cars need to be less prone to sliding when not giving it the beans or the AI in RWD cars needs to take corners a little slower.

Hey I just noticed when I upgraded acceleration it came up with "top speed upgrade complete" and when I upgraded top speed it said " acceleration upgrade complete". They're around the wrong way..
