I'm looking to make a few cds of grunge hits so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I'll check back later and list some of what I already have.

    Ned's Atomic Dustbin:

    Happy
    Grey Cell Green

Not strictly grunge because they were just before it but like the Pixies, Ned's Atomic Dustbin influenced a lot of grunge bands.

Oh yeah, definitely include some Pixies. I vote for Monkey Gone To Heaven.

Yeah, I was going to say Mudhoney's "Touch Me I'm Sick." Also, Sonic Youth's "Dirty" album has some good ones like "Sugar Kane," "Theresa's Sound World," and one of my all-time favorite songs, "Wish Fulfillment."

Dinosaur Jr. is kind of grunge...check out "Little Fury Things."

I would say the "grungest" song they did on that album was "Gouge Away." Also one of their best songs, imo.

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Does anyone remember the one hit wonder hits from bands like the Soup Dragons, Sponge, Veruca Salt, etc?

    Thanks again!
