I despise QuickTime. Now that Windows 7 has finally updated Windows Media Player to be able to play most video types, we don't really need it any more. Can't we just get an iTunes install without it?

iTunes won't work without Quicktime, it's the primary component of it.

it installs it because it does, if you don't like that, don't install it.

I agree. Quicktime is useless to me other than needed to load iTunes. 76MBs of wasted space.

iTunes has become a bit too bloated for those that just wish to use iTunes for their music library. It's become less about service as a music library program and more about being a portal to the iTunes store.

IMHO, Apple should release a separate iTunes Lite for those who want the music stuff without the fuss. And/or re-label the current iTunes Store portal to iShop or something else more appropriate.

I can't stand that either. iTunes is way too big for it's own good. Everything for it shouldn't take up anymore than 20mb on your hard drive.

The thing that annoys me most is having so many separate executables running... there's like 5 all going at once.
