Thanks for the stats and I'm pleased to say they're running pretty behind and GE has moved up some, according to iTunes anyway. Thanks also to everyone who's supported the game so far - makes all the hard work feel worthwhile when I think of so many people now enjoying the result (No I didn't do any progamming at all, but believe me, watching someone else doing it can be pretty exhausting).
Actually 'Jeep, you might notice that I didn't use the G word in my post. A bloke in the pub pointed out that someone has actually patented the concept... I think we might need a new term, anyone have any ideas?

I think it means that the course you are racing on does not have defined lanes or other constraints to keep you "on rails" through the level. You can ignore the race if you want and just explore. This can be helpful on the levels where gates are far apart and exploring reveals different ways to get from gate to gate. There is also a 'hidden' method to activate a camera view that you can use to move and view from any location on the map. An update may add the special camera and a dedicated free roam modes to the minus. Up to Glennx of course !
There are several reasons I used the term "free roaming" but it seems to mean a lot of things to different people. To me it means: Almost all driving games are set are set on a track where you can't go far from the set route. Ground Effect races are set in a world where you can go wherever you like. If you feel like exploring the race doesn't get in the way, you just won't win it. From level 4 onwards there is a lot of freedom of choice. Sometimes it means spotting a shortcut but on other levels you have complete freedom to find your own way to a checkpoint way off in the distance. What does "free roam" mean to you in the context of a racing game?
I second that - well done Glenn (Probably not paying attention as he's getting carried away with updates...)
