iPad Gridlee: Emulated with MAME4iOS 1.3.

Gridlee by itself seems fine, but Gridlee stutters with iCade again.

Last time this happened, the fix was to disable the Split Keyboard. I hope someone can find a similar fix!

Edit: After some more time experimenting, while the stuttering is indeed there, it's nowhere near as bad as it was on iOS 8 with Split Keyboard enabled.

Hi all. New to gridlee. Have installed the non-JB version. Works well with various roms, but no sound. Using an iPad Air 2 with latest iOS. Any suggestions ?

what pc/mac app did you use to add roms???

ifunbox, diskaid, etc shouldn't work with iOS 8/9 atm

I don't think it's that.
There seems to be confusion regarding the 'non-JB' version of Gridlee we're talking about.
The original Gridlee app still doesn't allow file-sharing via iExplorer, but the riskier(profile permissions) version, does.

 

Final fight working on Gridlee?

Hi has anyone got final fight working on Gridlee please?
I have got about 99% of ROMS working on Gridlee but final fight one of my favourites brings up the well known error message "missing ROM of chd"

 

i've got it working fine on iMAME4all on iPhone (0.75b version of mame, older than Gridlee version), so i've tried the same rom (and others) on Gridlee, but they don't work, you're right.

sorry, but i don't know why.

 

Thanks for the reply maxx. at least I know i'm not going mad. The fact that this works on iMAME4all gives me something to work with.
I now need to find a way to get this app on my ipad.

 

Whoa blast from the past. Wish more sneaky emu apps like this one would show up.

Multiple external controllers on Gridlee

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried simultaneously using multiple external controllers successfully on Gridlee.
I want to play some coop games.
I have an icade which I have been using successfully, wondering if adding another bluetooth gamepad style control would work?

 

To whoever still has this magic app in possession, is it possible to load games into the app without jail break currently? I'm on the iPad Pro 10.5 on 10.3.2 (which has no option of jb)

 

I’ve got it on an old iPad. I thought iOS 9 (or 8?) killed access via fileexplorer or ifunbox ? I’ve left my old iPad on iOS 7 so I can add games to it. Also ios8 killed the icade access as it seemed to make it stutter

Best app ever. Sad it’s gone. I now use a new mame version from builds.io. Grilled is far better but it’s better than nothing

 

Is this new mame version for jail break only? Got a link? Could be useful for future reference if I can't use it now.

$10 a year. Been with them 3 years. A great service. For no jail broken phones. Install their certificate and then you can install tons of apps. Got GBA4iOS and many others like Profenance. The Mame app isn’t perfect by any means but it’s still okay to try lots of different games. But it’s well worth picking up

 

Looks like price must've gone up, 12 a year now. Doesn't hurt to check this out. Can you load in your own games or do you have to do some loophole work around and get it via the app?
