Lol, I know what you mean. I literally look around my house for games that I use to play for nintendo, gameboy, etc and go to sites to download them. So that I have proof of my purchases. iCade is a tad expensive for me to get for right now. I will start saving.
You should be able to find some decent prices for the iCade, its much cheaper nowadays. Ebay is your best bet. Its well well worth getting, i love mobile gaming but to be able to play Gridlee/Atari/Activision/Midway Arcade and many others on the iCade is superb
Yea, I don't like ebay. I will try looking in amazon first then craigslist and last ebay. Thanks for the heads up.
Ebay isnt bad, you get some bad sellers but the vast majority are great. Just checking ebay.com and theres one for sale at $30 buy it now, bargain
Gridlee came with one ROM called Gridlee (hence the name of the app). Any other ROMs have to be side loaded. Read the first few pages of this thread and you will learn everything you need to know.
Well I have got - Killer Instinct Arcade working with Gridlee, but the game is choppy, even with speed hacks enabled. But it's rare to get that rom working I hope my future iPad 6 can run the gem full speed, utilising 64-bit chips which ship next year in smartphones & tablets!
This is an old thread so I'm not sure how close it is monitored anymore...but you're not supposed to ask for ROMs here.
Yep I agree, you just need the right format for the roms, they're easy to find. But do not ask for them here Its still an amazing app, spent a lot of time going through the available games and just keeping my favourites (also to save a bit of space). Still love playing Gridlee on my ipad on the iCade. Brilliant app.
Sadly tonight I deleted Gridlee after having it for months and building up a collection of several hundred working games. The wife bought me a surprise present, an Ouya! Odd, really as I'd never considered one but she'd read it was good for emulation and boy is it!! Not knocking ios at all, I've had a lot of fun with Gridlee but I'm going to make the Ouya my 'emulation centre' as from now.
How good is the controller for Ouya? I've read reviews where there are delay and unresponsive issues. It sounds really good for emulation and classic games
Hiscore doesnt save on Gridlee Hey guys Just go Gridlee working on my ipad. So much fun on my icade. But somehow my hiscore never saves after turning the game off. Has somone else here had similar issue? What i have tried: - i've tried turning cheats off in settings. - i've a moved hiscore.dat to the hi folder.
Gridlee version (0.139) doesn't support score saves pal, if you want to save them, you must play on iMAME4All, the previous version (0.37b5)
