Yes if a rom doesn't work delete it from Gridlee by pressing the "X" button and toggle down with the joystick to delete the physical files of that game by pressing the "B" button. You need to search for the rom of a game you want that truly works when launched. When the game is hi-lighted in the Roms directory in Gridlee you want a deep green background ( light green can be okay too!) for the description of the working condition of the game at the bottom of your screen. You'll know its good when you launch the game and no red popup shows up declaring the game's incompatible. You'll be fine . Just search them out.

I'm having a strange issue with iMAME4all but I'm sure its something simple. Im attempting to throw the roms I used in Gridlee into the iMAME4all roms folder but when I drag them in there they refuse to copy across. Any ideas?
Are you meaning you have both iMame4all and Gridlee open in a program you're using such as iExplorer or iFunbox? If so perhaps the program does not allow you to extract and drop into another apps rom files? I don't know...have you tried reducing your programs window so you can extract the roms and drop them on your PCs desktop. Then close the Gridlee app and open iMame so you can drag the roms into its rom folder. Good luck
For some reason, all the other roms in my gridlee app disappeared; does anyone know what could have caused that?
In case a few of you don't check the iCade thread there are few gamepads being released now that use the icade code. Meaning Gridlee on the go! This is SF3 on my iPega gamepad ($30).
Has anyone managed to get the older street fighter 2 (sf2, sf2ce, sf2turbo) games to work? I know the super street fighter 2 games work fine but I haven't had such luck with the older games thus far and I want to be able to play them with the cheats.
So I've been trying to get Metal Slug (any of them, preferably 5 or X) working on my iPad 2 in MAME4iOS. ITS NOT WORKING. I've tried at least a dozen different individual roms (couldn't find any free .139u1 roms) and neogeo bi0s files. All I get is an error that says "the selected game is missing one or more required ROM or CHD images." All I want to do is play Metal Slug, but I can't get it to work... Any ideas? Thanks
Please dont request roms. Also i love Gridlee but this is one of the bad sides of it. You do know you can buy the Metal Slug games 'legally' on iOS ? The more we buy the more i'm sure they'll convert. So forget Metal Slug, simply buy the proper version from the app store You say you are desperate to play Metal Slug, why on earth dont you simply buy it then ??!?!? Metal Slug 1,2,3 and X are available on the app store from DotEmu. Support them
First of all, I've been trying to play metal slug on my ipad for the past 6 months. I only just now found a functioning neogeo b-word, and any and all ROMS I've tried all came up with a missing chd error. They show up as green, but they don't work. Secondly, touch screen controls suck, and I want to be able to use a wiimote or something PHYSICAL to play my arcade games. Third, I'd never heard of dotemu until I read your post. I'm just tired of digging around for something nobody will help me with. I just want some pointers and maybe even a link.
Here's how to get each Metal Slug game working on your iOS device: Metal Slug Metal Slug 2 Metal Slug X Metal Slug 3
MAME4iOS 1.6 released MAME4iOS 1.6 released. There are builds for jailbroken and non-jailbroken devices. On non-jailbroken devices you must resign the app bundle with your own Apple developer certificate. Changelog: Added Peer to peer netplay multiplayer over WI-FI or Bluetooth. Options menu reworked. Added Vector defaults options. Added Emulation speed and thread type options. Sixaxis fixes. Some other bug fixes. MAME4iOS supports a simple, but effective netplay implementation over WIFI or Bluetooth (WPAN). You must specify whether you will be hosting (server) or joining (client) the game. If joining, you must also enter the host's IP address in the field below. Make sure your firewall is open on port 55435 (default; you can change it if you like) and that the port is forwarded in your router, if applicable. Host frame sync (or bluetooth latency) option, denotes the maximum number of frames MAME4iOS will need to emulate at once to maintain synchonization due to actual network latency. You can figure out an appropriate ballpark for this number by pinging the other player and dividing the time (in milliseconds) by 16 (roughly the number of milliseconds in a frame from a game running at 60 fps). If the gameplay is a bit choppy, try increasing the number of delay frames a bit. You can change this value at real time on the host device. TIP: Disable not needed radios (WI-FI or bluetooth) to improve netplay performance. You can download at: https://code.google.com/p/imame4all/
Jut simply search for metal slug on the App Store. Gridlee is great for games you can't get on the App Store but trying to find the rom when the actual licensed game is on the App Store is very bad It not like the games are $40 each or something!!
