iPad Gridlee: Emulated with MAME4iOS 1.3.

Can anybody tell me how I can play as Player 2, 3, or 4 in the Simpsons or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game? If I do up *and* coin it selects Marge & Homer at the same time. If I select right + up it selects Bart & Marge at the same time.

Does anybody know how I would go about selecting Homer or Bart without selecting Marge?

Has anyone tried the 8 bitty controller with the street fighter 2 games?

The touch control stick and touch d-pad make it difficult to do the dragon punches consistently...I would think the physical controls would improve things significantly.

So if anyone has used the 8 bitty with these games is it a big improvement?

 

Yes. Works with all generations and mini.

 

Assuming you also have a PC, do the following:

Go to mamedev.org, in the older versions section, download MAME .139 and from the command line, run it as MAME -cc

This will create MAME.INI

Edit MAME.INI and find the line that says bios

Change it from "bios" to "bios japan"

use ifunbox or iexplorer to copy the mame.ini to your gridlee app's documents folder. Your bios will now be set to Japan MVS version 3.

 

Super Mario World

Has anyone gotten Super Mario World running without the lag/sound problems?

 

Use the two player version of the ROM, it lets you select your preferred character.

 

What is protube?

 

Youtube app, with download capabilities and you can choose playback quality. (up to 1080p).

Protube 2 is better though, adds all those functions into the official app.

 

The game is just the cute wrapping paper. The gift is whats inside.

All the play choice ones (inc Super Mario 3) start with the Prefix PC.

 

Asking for ROMs or ROM sites will get you banned here. Just try Google. You need the 139u1 version though.

 

I'm surprised this hasn't been pulled from the App Store yet. Maybe apple doesn't mind.
