Yes, most do. The best ones cost a few bucks however. Its worth the price of admission however, especially if you have a bluetooth controller. SNES can be iffy with some games, like Starfox, but for most, its pretty spot on. Happy to finally be playing SF3 on my mini at full speed thanks to iFBA
Is there a trick to using the speed hacks? I used very aggressive on my iPad 3 and all it did was make everything even slower. Haven't tried on iPad 4 yet. I have no fame skip on.
How to activate cheats on this? OK, I have downloaded the cheats.zip file from Pugsy's web site for v 0.139 and dumped it in the Documents/cheat directory using ifunbox. Cheat toggle is activated, but I see no additional cheat menu, unless there is something more I need to do. Any suggestions? I have searched online for "Gridlee mame4ios cheat folder" and just do not see anything. Any advice/help would be appreciated
Ok I downloaded ifba and two versions of sf3 and I have to admit it runs super smooth Still gridlee would be my main mame emulator
How much faster is the iPad 4 compared to the iPad 3 with Gridlee? For perspective, I have an iPad 3, Galaxy S3, Excite 7.7 and TF300. In spite of a much higher res display, the iPad 3 is as fast or a tad faster than those devices with the Android version of same MAME app. Due to the display res on the iPad, I expected my other devices to perform better. All the insight I can get is appreciated. I love arcade games and also have an iCade. The iCade was too cute and cool to pass up
Questions about 2 Neogeo bios's Hi All- I tried using the search thru this 135 page thread...but didn't see the solution I need. I have all 6 of the Metal Slug Roms...1-5 and X...but I don't know which neogeo bios to have installed in Gridlee. New or Old...I tried both and they don't seem to be doing the trick. Am I missing something else? And my second question, I thought I read when searching that the trick for PC MAME with CHD files don't work with Gridlee....so what is the proper way to run CSP3 games? I really only want SF: 3rd Strike. I have the roms working stand alone on PC...just now with Gridlee. Thank you for your time.
I never used a MAME emulator before, so I hope someone could help me. Right now I'm trying to get Street Fighter 3rd Strike, Metal Slug, King Of Fighters, etc. to work, but I just can't. I downloaded the same rom from different sites, and everytime I try to open it the emulator says something about some chd files. What should I do?
Press coin and start at the same time and the MAME control interface will come up. You can change settings globally or per game from there.
Does anyone have suggestions for FAQs that might help people get Gridlee working? Here's a tentative list off the top of my head. Gridlee FAQ Rough Draft It says the game is missing some ROM or CHD images. You need files that are compatible with MAME 0.139. For what it's worth, there's a program similar to Gridlee for Android called "Mame4Droid" that also takes 0.139 roms. How can I play NES games? You need both the Playchoice 10 bios and the Playchoice 10 version of the game itself. Once the game loads you need to set a button to "Enter" and press it to get past the black screen. See Lurtz6's post over here for a more detailed explanation. How can I play Sega Mega Drive/Genesis games? You need both the Mega Play bios and the Mega Play version of the game. Again set a button to "Enter" to get past the first screen. Street Fighter III runs very slowly. On iPhone 5 and iPad 4th Gen turn on the "Very Aggressive" speed hack to play at normal speed. How can I make the blood red in Metal Slug? COIN+START -> Service -> Setting up the SOFT DIP -> SLOT1 METAL SLUG -> scroll down
From what I noticed on ifba and gridlee the gridlee controls are more Responsive for street fighter 3
Has anyone tried the old 80's classic Commando? No matter which version I have downloaded it hangs when loading. Is there something special about this rom? It works on the PC emu's...just not Gridlee
