Don't you dare hook me on a new Shmup! I'm having enough difficulty trying to beat my own scores in Sonic Wings 2 and Strikers: 1945 Plus... Btw, I gave R-Type Leo a go tonight. It's absolutely an awesome Horizontal Shooter. Didn't even know it existed. I only ever tried, (and failed miserably at it,) R-Type 1&2.
Argh, been away from the board and need to catch up here. My Neo-Geo X showed up and I have been busy modding a SD to MicroSD adapter to trick the NGX into thinking the card I'm inserting is a factory issued game card full of games I hate soldering but this was worth it. Metal Slug 1-5 on the TV via HDMI with a classic Neo Geo joystick = Anyway, back to Gridlee tomorrow and these challenges
Sweet I was looking at one of those but didn't know how easy it was to mod. I've done some pretty elaborate mods in the past but with gridlee and a modded icade I'm all set.

I've downloaded this ROM for the original arcasde punch out multiple times, but when I run it it jams up on the character screen....I can hear the fight in the background but can't see the action...anyone have any tips? Will also be posting a couple CHD questions, so I apologize in advance. Thanks for the help guys.
you have to change video option within the games to screen 1 also does anyone know if there is any other way to help speed up games besides the speed hacks?
Is there an .cfg or .ini I can edit to force two joysticks for robotron? One stick and 4 buttons isn't cutting it, but it's so close!
I checked the web page for iControlPad out yesterday, it seems it's sold out unfortunately.. The iCade JR. look more like a gimmick to me, but I may be wrong..: How about the 8-Bitty? To me, it just looks more comfortable:
Okay figured this out... You need the BIOS for Atari System 1. Older versions of MAME didn't need this, but this will fix indytemp, marble madness, road runner and peter pack-rat.
Why do you want the Japanese version of the bios? You can access the bios by pushing select + coin at the same time then go to the service section. Here you can turn on blood on games that allow it. The Europe bios allows for the same amount of blood as Japanese bios but with English titles.
IMO it's kind of expensive IMO. Considering its still emulating neo geo roms I'd rather use gridlee with a nice modded icade core stick. But that's me. With an hdmi cable you can connect it to your tv/surround system and with Bluetooth sit on your couch and play every neo geo + cps 2 + many other arcade games. The neo geo x is using a hacked version of dingoo linux and final burn alpha.
358300 on metal slug x. Could have done better but ill wait until someone beats my score. On one credit I've been able to get to the vertical platform stage in the past.
