It's just a friendly competition amongst forum members. I mean I think it would be fun for us to all play on the same platform and try to out do each other. Hey if someone cheats then so be it. It's not like they will win a championship belt, or will they? Lol
Which metal slug was that? Looks like the first one, if so 200k is very good on one coin. I played it daily on a consolized mvs 2 slot daily a few years ago. I got to the final boss on 1up and then had to use 2 coins to finish him. Was an amazing feat for sure, I was trying to make the 1up club at neo-geo.com. Sadly I didn't make it, ahh well.
$65 bucks for that?!? I could buy 2 icade cores for that price. Would be fun to have but for that kind of money ill just stick with what I have :/
You'll probably beat my score into submission, but please bear with me, I never played the game before... Found a lot of recommendations on http://shmups.system11.org for good Shmups and have been in Shmup heaven since Gridlee was released. I think I'll stick with this game for a bit and see how far I can get using my iCade. I'll be back, but now it's time for me to go to bed. It's 4 in the morning here in Denmark... Thankfully it's my vacation, so I don't have to go to work tomorrow.
So I loaded in Virtua Fighter and it loaded right up, though it gave me a "this game is known to have issues" warning. Upon the game loading, I immediately realized something was amiss. I see the stage, but no characters. After selecting coin and start, I get into the character select screen and everything looks fine, but upon the first battle no one shows up on screen, and the matches immediately end. Anyone get this working by chance? I figure either there's some setting that can be tweaked, or this game is borked on this version of mame.
