hi, i cant seem to figure out how to display the game art. i've placed the zips in the art folder, and by default i know that each game displays the art. but, i'll i see is the red bezel and nothing else. am i missing something? thanks for the help.

 

Same here, I get I red bezel on some of my art yet others work fine. Maybe it's a glitch.

 

ah, ok maybe it is a glitch. i guess ill try art for a few other games. was hoping to see the art for some of my Neo Geo games like 3 Count Bout, Turfmasters, League Bowling. oh well.

Once you've found the right romset you basically copy them into the roms folder.

The problem must be the roms you have arent the correct type, they have to be MAME 0.139u1

 

How are you guys getting in game screenshots? I have ipod 5, do I have that feature?

 

Can you PM a site to find 0.139u1 files?

 

In order to run a playchoice rom, does the game file need to be 0.139 compatible aswell?

Also, i know that a lot of people have already asked, but if anyone could please pm me any good romsite links it would be most appreciated.

I have found in my limited knowledge of MAME that it was easiest to download all sets for the game I want to play and let MAME sort them out for me. Some games seem to require multiple zip files such as parent file & set 1-3 for example. Downloading a bios set would also be helpful but so far I have just transferred the ones I am using in the interest of space. Put everything in the documents/rom folder and start loading them up!

Also: A simple google search works wonders for locating what you need. The main sites seem to keep their files up to date. Keep in mind that some of the most recent games do not run very well even on the latest hardware. Speedhack function is helpful for some, accessible by pressing coin and star from the title screen. There is an in-app read me file that explains everything.

 

Does anyone know if there is there a way to enable auto-fire or does it need to be enabled at compile time? I only ask because Contra, Final Fight, etc tend to get quite tiring after a while...

 

Hello im new to here in toucharcade . Anyways I have couple of questions about this so awesome app what i have allways dream about.

1. Does anyone have get Virtua Cop 2 working?
2. Someone says that back up this gridlee before Apple removes it from the store. If I dont back up it and apple removes it from appstore then I cant use this app even though I have downloaded it allready?

My questions can be maybe stupid, but I`m hoping that someone can give me an answer.

PS. Now I have one good reason to buy that iCade! (y)

 

Has anyone gotten Nintendo Super System games to work? I have the .139 nss BIOs and a few .139 nss games like Super Mario World, but I'm confused. The nss BIOS shows up on the games menu but the games do not.

 

the roms have to be for the MAME versions not super nes versions like SMCS wont work.

Yeah I've tried a few different MAME version of Super Mario World, starting with 0.139 version and no luck.
So in theory if the BIOS is there and you have the right version of the ROM it will appear in the menu?

Never mind, I had Hide Not Working so that's why they're weren't showing up (even though they do work!)
